One Night Stand (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=211689), the event that first appeared on the map as an ECW reunion show saw its spirit alive and well in the Singapore Cane match which saw SmackDown's Big Show earn an ECW Title shot against Kane at Night of Champions later this month.

Thaddeus Long appears to be back in power. Though with the 3rd wheel of the WWE family. I was hoping he would get the Smackdown job when Vickie hopefully steps down. I'm guessing RAW will be without a GM for a while since they dont appear to care about it.

http://209.85.12.231/html/emoticons/laugh.gif http://209.85.12.231/html/emoticons/laugh.gif at Adamle repeatedly saying "Tommy Morrison". He's been flubbing more than usual so far.

And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is how ECW splits from Smackdown. Long, to get back at Vickie, uses his newfound power to end the talent exchange and move it to Raw.

I just wish that it was a little better set up instead of just one day *POOF* Long is ECW GM for no reason.

Although unless they're drafted to Smackdown, look for Miz and Morrison to drop those belts soon. I doubt they'd have two sets of Tag Belts on Raw. Night of Champions seems like a good night to do it.

*crosses fingers for Jesse and Festus*

Matt Sydal makes his WWE debut. Pretty impressive. I hope they turn him heel though. I think it suits him better.

Main event was pretty good. The last minute was very well-done. They could've though had Punk get a fluke win and then tease it for a while as pinning one of the champs and therefore he's the favorite when he cashes in his MITB.

Overall, minus adamle's flubs, a very good ECW.

Teddy Long is back in the GM's office, this time on ECW. The sudden move suggested initially that Estrada was bound for the suspended list, just like Will Regal two weeks ago. Getting squashed by Matt Hardy only added to that prospect. Then, Colin Delaney collects a receipt, and Estrada is squashed a 2nd time. Now, Estrada has to go through the same exact torture he put Colin through. That, friends, is payback. HOLLA!:D :D :D :D

Miz & Morrison, I agree, have to lose the tag titles, preferably before June 23 (draft night). Their cowardly post-match assault says title match on Friday to me.

Matt Sydal's debut ends up with a lameassed countout finish. I don't think Shelton Benjamin's heard the last from Sydal any more than he has from Kofi Kingston.

Now, for his next trick, Teddy Long sends Mike Adamle packing and replaces him with Josh Mathews. One can hope.

Very good ECW show. I'm happy to see Long as GM, and the stuff with Estrada was entertaining. Delaney now getting the full HD-tron treatment, with his name and bandages appearing underneath the main tron, rules. The Matt Hardy squash was fine, but paled in comparison to the Shelton-Sydal match, which did an excellent job of building up Shelton, furthering the Shelton-Kofi feud, and protected and showcased Sydal, should WWE choose to have him on the show as a regular.

I was also happy to see him keep his "Matt Sydal" name, given that there were TWO MATTS!!!~ on this show and WWE has an annoying tendency to change names if there's more than one person on the roster with the same first name (changing Lance Cade to the far-worse GARRISON Cade, and changing Shane Helms to Gregory Helms come to mind). The main event was very good, and the best Kane match I've seen since his one with 'Taker on SD about a month and a half ago.

Continuing the quick comments after my busy week...

Great to see Teddy Long back in the GM business and it does appear that he will be used to end the talent exchange with SmackDown and take it to RAW. I don't know what this says for Vickie being removed from GM though.

Mike Adamle screwed up with "Tommy Morrison" and the just odd sounding "top the beginning" as the first match closed. I do have to give him points for beating Tony Chimel by saying Matt Sydal correctly and actually having some information about him.

I'll be interested to see if this is the actual "debut" for Sydal in that he becomes part of the roster. He certainly seemed to get more attention from Adamle and more offense against Benjamin than we ever saw from James Curtis.

Not sure why the three losers of the Singapore Cane match would fight to face Kane in a non-title match, but I suppose they could have used the forum to prove something.
