But my question is, does your persona also go on into other online forums, social networking sites, chats, etc.

I go by a variety of aliases online. I'm phw at the places I frequent the most, but I also go by Chipperluva10, KitsuneRose, and a few others. The latter two I used more a few years ago but I've gotten rather attached to the phw name so use that pretty much everywhere else anymore.

I try to be myself, but less sarcastic since it doesn't translate too well online.

Plus, other than TZ and the yaoi LJ site I've been an active member of for years, I don't need or have any other user ID that people would know me by.

As for personna, while I'm more open to online folks than in public, my paranoia is a lot higher than offline.

I'm Silverstar on every board I've ever frequented except for The Big Cartoon Database, where I'm Starburst (formerly X-Man), a username I coined before I thought of Silverstar. On the BCDB there's a whole lot of brouhaha to change one's username (I already had to go through a ton o' channels just to change it from X-Man), so I just keep Starburst there. When I first joined TV.com, I was known as White Tiger, then Q for about 2 days, then I invented Silverstar, which I've been using ever since.

My persona is the same everywhere, though: a somewhat crazy intellectual who loves animation and tries to include a little humor with his wisdom. (Very little. :D)

I'm Blackstar here, as I was when I was at TV.com and at TV Tome before that. There only places where I don't/didn't go by that name are TVRage, where I was simply J (although I haven't been to TVRage for some time nor do I have any intention of returning to) and on the Big Cartoon Forum, where my alias is Space Demon (it appears as SpaceDemon, but it's supposed to be 2 words, not one. I originally typed it as Space Demon, but it wouldn't accept it that way. I should have typed it as Space_Demon, but that thought didn't occur to me until after I submitted my registration and it was too late to change it).

Mine for the most part changes due to what forum I am on. For example, on this forum, since it's cartoons, my persona is Reiven, a conjuction of Rei from Neon Genesis and Raven from Teen Titans, but say on the Titans Go forum, my persona is Slade51463, which is the name I use for the majority of my accounts. Other than that, if forum I am a part of is central to say a show e.g Batman, my name will be something to do with Batman.

Most places I frequent I tend to go by the name "DarkMatter" or some variation of it if "DarkMatter" is already taken (my second choice is usually "OMGitsDarkMatter" if that's the case). In fact, I think Toon Zone is the only place where I go by "Eddy".

And, no, Eddy isn't my name (that would be Dan), I just go by Eddy because when I joined TZ way back when I was obsessed with Ed, Edd n Eddy. I've considered changing my username but I think I'm going to just stick with this one.

I only came up with Daxdiv over a year or so ago. Since then I use it in everything since my username is just my RL named scrambled up with an X put into it, just like the Nobodies in Kingdom Hearts. I use it for my YT account, other forums, and my GamerTag. I basically the same, cept I quiet with the headset on Xbox Live since I don't trust the people I am teamed up with in team matches.

I use to go by a few different names but with the exception of Ninja Tiptup for the TMNT message board The Technodrome I tend to go by Sketch, Sketchor or The Sketchor or some variation there-of.

And I don't change the way I post in any of those other forums. My online persona is merely an extention of myself. Or to put it simply, it's "the real" me though I may choose to withhold certain information about my life as some people would know from a few threads I made on this board in particular... I've let it all hang out here and this isn't the only board I've done so on.

I know that I used to consider my online persona my “Alter Ego”, but I’m not all that much different from real life. The only major differences is the stuff I talk about, ex: I’m a big Pokemon fan, but nobody at my school knows it (in fact, nobody I know knows about it).

On Dailymotion, I was going to be "WizardDuck", but my Hotmail was acting up so I used another of my email accounts to re-register as "GarfieldFan2000" (the "Garfield" derived not from the comic strip, but "Garfield and Friends", and the "Fan2000" derived from the username you see here).
