Tonight is the night World Wrestling Entertainment gets extreme! All matches tonight will be conducted under ECW's Extreme Rules in addition to whatever stipulations govern each match. Two championships will be on the line with the expectation that a new World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned after being vacant for the last two months. Depending on the outcome of that match, which will be a TLC match, it could be the last time we see The Undertaker in a WWE ring.

So, what the hell is the point of Vickie threatening Batista's partner (the would-be Big Show) on Friday if nothing would come of it.

I thought for certain it'd be a sure-fire way to have someone else win the Cane match while still making Show look strong.

But, surprise, surprise. Yet another set-up with no point or end result. It seems the WWE is famous for that as of late.

Looks like Orton will be out a while after breaking his collarbone. That means RAW needs a big-time heel as the draft looms. Suddenly the draft becomes more important, or hopefully in wwe's eyes instead of the lame million-dollar giveaway. I guess JBL will be top heel till the draft.

And the other big story here was Edge shockingly winning. I don't agree with it since the end basically left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth after the whole Flair deal and Taker deserves a similar type ceremony when he retires. Not as emotional as Flair but something like his big Mania weekend. Anyway, I guess :groan: Batista will be the #1 contender even though he's better now as a heel with Michaels/Jericho then another #1 contender match with him.

I guess come draft time Taker will be on RAW, but he should stay a face despite the logjam of top faces on RAW. Basically the draft needs a huge shakeup to fill the needs of the depleted WWE roster now.

I didn't see it, but I have a tough time seeing this as the end of The Undertaker. Vickie did declared he would be "banished" from the WWE however, not SmackDown. I think rather than just going to RAW it's more likely when Vickie is eventually removed that the new GM brings Taker back.

This better be going somewhere. She better get fired and this whole thing gets nulled. This is bull---t

And damn it I'm f---ing tired of Edge wining thanks to interference!!! I don't give a damn if he's a heel. Every title he's won since that first time he beat Cena he's won like that, it's the same song and dance all the time and I'm sick of it!!! Even when Orton was champion he won by a lucky move or pulled an RKO out of his ass to win and it was still better than this crap!!!

Spike, I was there when Edge won his 1st WWE title at New Year's Revolution 2 years ago. He took advantage of a weary, battered Cena and squashed him in nothing flat. No one helped Edge then. To me, though, Edge has become a poor man's Triple H, circa 2000. When Edge regained the title in a 3-way in July '06 (from RVD), he used the belt on Cena to take Boston Shady out of the picture. Edge has forgotten what it means to win with class. This title reign can only be a short one.

Naturally when you're upset you don't think straight, yes you're right and to be honest I didnt mind that because I knew it was to get rid of the case so they could start building toward the next Money in The Bank Match and I thought "Okay that's something he probably would have done anyway." And now that I think about it not nessecaraly every title victory was cause by outside interference but it was still a cheap win in some fashion and that's what irritates me

I have to disagree with Spike. Undertaker had no problem dealing with the interference. I was actually surprised at how clean the win was.
I considered all kinds of different loopholes for him to come back if he happened to lose, but when he actually lost, I wondered for the first time, "Huh. What if Mark Calaway is really retiring?"
I hope not. Just introduce that dumb loophole and bring the Deadman back.

Hardy's win was cool, and the whole match was surprisingly great.

Beth PHOENIIIIIIIIX! Yeah!

Also, I expected HBK to lose, but seeing it happen was, of course, disappointing.

Shocking thing with Orton. But it was either that or impaling the shoulder on the upturned stairs. Hope he heals up well.

Cena's win could've been done differently. I don't know.
