Here is a little vid that I released just recently on Youtube, there is more information at the Info section of this Vid's file and here it is at...

Its a little experiment of mine that I thought I at least try out. I hope that you guys are the least bit okay with this.

I actually like those choices, though I've only actually heard 1 or 2 of those VAs, as they seem to fit the characters reasonably well; good job. ;)

I would've thought Tony Oliver as Phoenix Wright but Ian Corlett doesn't sound bad either.

By the way, does Ian Corlett still do anime dubbing? Because I don't think I've heard him do anything else after abruptly quitting as Goku during the Saban days of Dragonball Z.

While there was rumors of him having a bit role in Black Lagoon (though probably false) he did pretty much stop doing VA work in Anime dubs. However he didn't stop being a VA in general. However nowadays his roles are mainly those such as the Father in Johnny Test and Grumpy Bear in the new Care Bears series.

These are great. Somehow, the random quotes taken out of context are extremely hilarious. Especially Edgeworth's at the end.

I really like Mia and Maya's voice.

Now find Gumshoe, Oldbag, and Larry.

Good choices.

I always pictured a VA cast for Phoenix Wright and I thought you had good choices. I always had Wendee Lee (Faye's voice style) as Mia, Grey DeLisle (Lor from the Weekenders voice style) as Maya (I always pictured her with a deeper voice), Steven Blum as Godot, and Cam Clarke as Edgeworth. For Apollo Justic, Scott Menville as Apollo.

Steven Blum as Godot
That would be awesome

I hear Zoid cast members! :anime:

Anyway, they're all pretty good choices. I just wish the Godot clip was longer since the voice was pretty much spot on.

Steven Blum as GodotYES.

I would've done more but I had fairly limited material to go with here at the time. And as for you MegaJ and your picks that had Californian VA talent. The next time I do something on Phoenix Wright I most likely would go that route too. But since this experiment seems to be going well I'll most likely do it again. And since I used Ocean last time I'll probably go with Californian next time. (And I might even get to Texan and New York as well. At least with the site Crystalacids thats remotely possible.)

Dunno which series I'll go with first next time but I'll figure that out...

Great job, those were some fantastic picks. (Especially Godot)

I have yet to have played that game, I would like to one day get a chance to play it but I haven't...

Oh you Ocean Westwood fanboy. Admittedly that would be a good cast but not Phoenix himself. Bill Switzer (I think that was his name) would fit the role a lot better I think. But in my mind no one and I mean NO ONE can be Phoenix Wright but Steven Blum.

QFT

Blum would fit Phoenix perfectly. Especially if he uses his Roger Smith's voice(anyone notice that Roger and Phoenix look similar in design?).

Nice video Pokejedservo. Althought I think the Judge should be voice by Scott McNeil. His style of voice acting would fit him better.

Bill Switzer as Phoenix? Okay I can picture someone else in Ocean other than Ian voicing him but Billy "Chaud" Switzer? I dunno and as for Blum voicing Phoenix, well maybe for something like his Jamie voice but I would more picture him voicing someone like Godot.

However for anyone whom might criticize this feel free to come up with your own version of a Vid like this. (Regardless of which region of VA talent you'll go with.) I know of at least one site to use clips from namely www.crystalacids.com but if there are any other good sites with good audio clips feel free to let me know. The only other site that I know of that at least has audio clips that I know of is this...

http://www.tenchionline.com/ragey/Cartoons/RandomActionHour-Main.htm

But the selection is a bit more limited. Doing Vids like this is fun but I would have to warn you that that unless you know of more sites with clips your selection of clips to go by might be a bit limited.

Blum's typical voice (aka his TOM and or Roger Smith voice) is exactly what I envision Phoenix sounding like. Youthful but still mature and authorative. Phoenix shouldn't sound green he should sound like he knows what he's doing. Bill Switzer could pull that off as well as could Tevor Devall. Ian Cortlett on the other hand would be great for Apollo Justice.

The only voices I can really picture are Vic Mignogna or Larry Butz, and Jason Spisak for Apollo.

Understood granted I have never played any of the games in Apollo's series yet so I wouldn't know there. But still I do understand what you mean there...

Perhaps if Blum is Phoenix, then Jamieson Pierce (Ovan in .hack GU, Aizen in Bleach) would be Godot?

I also call Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as the Perfect Mia.\

I agree on Mignogna as Larry. He's good at laid-back guys like that. ^_^

edgeworth seems like one of those guys(such as the one from geass) that just BEGS to be played by Freeman. Is it me or do his charachters all have similar faces?

apollo, with his sarcasm, seems like he could be either Yuri Lowenthall or Vic Mignogna.

I just can't "hear" Steven Blum as Phoenix. That TOM style voiced is just sounds a bit too "cool" for Phoenix.

Phoenix shouldn't sound green he should sound like he knows what he's doing.

He was pretty green in the first game. I just think Ian Cortlett's voice would be better.

What about Dahlia? The only VA I can think of is Kari Wahlgreen, based on her voices of Saya and Diva.

Gumshoe...no clue. I would pick John DiMaggio, but he would make a better Tigre, I think.

i always pictured phoenix wright as being a greenhorn in the games. not exactly new to the lawyer gig, but he was always learning. though i can't picture him having that voice based on his "apollo justice" persona. that's one of the things that bothered me about that game was they passed phoenix wright off as "too cool". that and the whole last case was one big "wha?"

I'll add to this later. (http://www.dailymotion.com/MrHighwind/video/x5kvin_gumshoe-godot-va-samples_videogames)

That took forever.

And yes, I'm kidding about Godot.

Well since I am thinking of doing another vid like this again I am still not entirely sure what to go with next. But I have some ideas like the KOF Maximum Impact series (California) or Guilty Gear (California).

Though I am also thinking of doing a bit of a special 4-for-all (Use casts from all four regions into one feature vid.) So far I am thinking of something like one of the Final Fantasy games. (I am more thinking of something along the lines of FF4 or FF6. I was thinking of FF7 but rejected that due to California getting the recent FF7 features like Advent Children.)

Too lazy to make a video for now but here's my cast.

Phoenix Wright - Steven Blum
Maya Fey - Kari Wahlgren
Godot - David Lodge
Judge - Steve Kramer
Mia Fey - Laura Bailey (Lust voice)
Sal Manella - Kyle Hebert
Miles Edgeworth - Travis Willingham
Apollo Justice - Jason Spisak
