On last week's episode, Orihime was kidnapped. Judging by tonight's episode title, another person is kidnapped. Who is it, tune in at midnight to find out.

Orihime's mysterious abductors better be lucky they're fictional and I'm not.
Also, am I the only one reminded of MST3K with this episode's title?

Last time: Something which may explain why Orihime won't be in the next few episodes except she did mention she wanted to make herself stronger so maybe this arc will be about her after all and not just another villain trying to get Ichigo's goat.
The Rukia arc only ended two weeks ago, and we're still on this?
Orihime? In hell? Don't make me laugh.
Any excuse to cut class, huh?
Fear Uryu's lock-picking skills!
Someone saw Renji's pager number on the men's room wall, I bet.
Was that first guy expecting a call or something?

EPIC LOCKPICKING!

Now he's a lockpick? Is there anything Uryu can't do?
Stop raiding the fridge Renji, you're not the only hungry one here.

Would it be wrong if I wanted to punch the guy who answered the phone?
All this telephone-timed missions-game thing's giving me a Die Hard 3 vibe.

Segundo paso.
Boo. They just needed a cliffhanger for the commercial break.
Well, at least you're getting a good workout.
At least there's no deadline, just an appointment time.
She still is. I suspect.
"No Raymond"?
Awk-waaaaard.
I didn't want to believe it, but I knew that was coming.
Oh fun. Mysterious Nutjobs 2, Team Ichigo 0.

Renji has an appetite like mine :3, minus the fact that he was drinking milk. Yuuuck.
Ishida, the expert lock picker? I wonder where he learned those skills from and exactly what he's been practicing them on.

There probably a lot of truth in that statement.
Anyway, I knew Michael McConnohie would end up voicing Kurodo. That's going to be really funny later on.

It is funny how Inoue remembers things. Rukia must've drawn the background. Also, seeing Inoue and Tatsuki getting a brainfreeze is funny. Ririn's voice, however, is annoying as can be. Then again, she is a filler character.

Earlier in the episode, they were ready to kill the kid as soon as they got their hands on the kid. But than they do a 180, on I don't know if I can kill a kid.
It is obvious it is not a real kid, it is some spirital allusion. Of course I could tell you who those three figures are, and who they work for, and what their true purpose. It is shocking. Dam it I wish I knew how to make a spoiler tag.

Please don't spoil this one. It was one of the greatest moments in the whole arc, and the answer will be revealed soon enough anyway.

First you type spoiler and put it in these brackets (you know, []) and then you type [/spoiler] so it looks like this

Back on topic. God, this little girl's voice annoys me. But then again she was annoying in the original version too so at least they got that right

Ririn is cute, but her laugh (and sense of fashion) needs serious work. The fillers are just getting started, yet I already hate her.

Who knew Orihime would look so scary when she's possessed. Though I don't think a couple of priests, some holy water, and a bible could fix this situation.
Now after all that, they have Chad as well. This trio should get their asses handed to them or I'm gonna be pissed. And yes I even mean the kid, one hyperactive little brat is enough for this show.
I can't say it's one of the better episodes, but there were some amusing moments.....
I liked when Ichigo,Uryu, and Chad just decide to cut class to search for Orihime
Uryu picking the lock to get into Orihime's apartment
Renji raiding Orihime's fridge
The "race" between Ichigo and Renji when the guys are running around to different phones (apparently,Ichigo forgot that only he,Uryu and Chad can see Renji when he's in soul reaper form)...
I know the two series get compared alot, but this episode felt kinda "Yu Yu Hakusho-ish"...with the four guys working together against a common enemy...Ichigo and Renji's interactions here reminded me of Yusuke and Kuwabara...
and now Chad is kidnapped.....wonder if this pattern gets continued until Ichigo's left alone to face the bad guys...
....and the villains have yet to make any real impression on me as of yet....though the little girl's kinda annoying....
The next episode preview made me laugh alot ....I find the idea of Kon taking over Renji's body funny....I blame Kingdom Hearts 2,which I've been playing alot lately (in the game, there's a character named Axel, who has red hair and the same voice actor as Kon) ...

I could actually get behind most of the humor in this episode, where it seemed appropriate, unlike, say, in the Soul Society arc, where they would insert the humor during tense battles or dramatic moments.

If you don't drink milk your bones will get brittle.
So, we got to see Mayuri again, but he just stood there and didn't say anything. It's kind of weird to see an evil psycho like Mayuri next to all the other good soul reapers. Does Mayuri ever appear in the Shinigami Cup Golden? I'm a little curious as to whether he ever socializes with the other soul reapers.

Well, we get a good look and some names to the three causing trouble (too bad I am bad with names). Chad is taken, and nobody has a clue what is going on. mystery is good and all, but I hope we get more clued in soon, otherwise I will get bored.
on a side note, we have little demon girl face off against Kenny's second in command. they could talk each other into submission with those voices of their's.
Finishing move: Demented Laugh....

About Orihime - is it not unusual for 15 year old kids to have their own apartments in Japan? Do they not have social services for when kids are orphaned? And how does she afford the rent for that swanky pad?

Oddly, this seems somewhat common in anime. For instance, in Sailor Moon, Sailor Jupiter lives alone and in Naruto, Naruto lives alone.

There are places that have whole apartment blocks set up as student housing.
It could be a youth housing complex.

Looks pretty nice for a student housing complex. And big, considering real estate in Japan. And I still wonder how she pays rent/bills and stuff.

actualy, both Chad and Uryu Ishida also live by themselves and they are mear 15 year olds too (Uryu has a dad though, but he lives alone).

IMHO
Pretty far away. I'm talking pretty deep into this arc, 30+ episodes away. Then again that's only IMHO since I dislike this arc but believe me it will get a whole lot more "boring" in places between then.

*Bites Tounge* Must not say anything... on Yu Yu Hakusho-ishness... must not say anything on that... must not spoil for those who haven't seen... how that goes...
It's kind of hard to talk at this point about my problems with this "arc" but I guess I can say here I'm annoyed by this filler trio. Well Nova (the deep voiced mask man) is okay but the other two... well you'll be seeing more of them but the whole changing from Orihimie to Cloud (the shapshifter) and Ririn (blond girl) poking Ichigo left a bad taste in my mouth, even back then. I guess the bigger focus though is on Ichigo and co running through town to try and solve a riddle by answering a phone call. Yeah, wasn't this plot done before? By the power Puff Girls in "Him Diddle Riddle" where they actually had an interesting way of crossing town throughout the ep to get places? Not really so much here. And though I did like the idea of our heroes having to solve this problem with they're brains, they really don't do anything besides run around haplessly, get some advice from Uharhara and then seeing Orihimie returned but oh wait she was actually Cloud and then Chad gets sucked away as well. Really not too compelling stuff. Eh the beginning at least documenting how Soul Society was dealing with Aizen (who apprently will need to wait to use his Houyokou since nothing will happen with it until these fillers are done with) was sort of interesting and the cillfhanger of them missing the phone call was okay (though really they could of expanded on the drama much more then they did) but otherwise a really bleh episode that streched on far more then it should of.

In case anybody was wondering: the sped up intro is four seconds shorter than the regular version.
Four whole seconds! Wow, they can do sooo much with that...
