... Is that they're becoming too bogged down with the Andrew/Linda plot. I've noticed that in the past couple episodes, they've replaced the jokes with serious plot, and it feels... Weird to me. I think they're concentrating way too much on this plot and should move on to other things. You can tell they're paying too much attention to it because the last few subplots were really lame. The old dog, Eddy, the coach's dental problem... The only semi-funny one was Eddy, and even that was pushing it.

It's like they said to themselves: "Hey, maybe we should put some other crap in here so that people don't become too bored by the wedding plot." "Duh, okay, lets put in an old dog who likes to poop a lot. Funny." "Okay, whatever. Slap it in there."

I'm not saying the new episodes are BAD, but they're no where as good as the first season and the begining of the second one. Home Movies is best when each episode contains one plot that begins and finishes in that same episode.

It's just my opinion and I know a lot of you love the new episodes, so.... Just ignore this if you feel otherwise. :P

so your saying they have too many sub-plots, i definetly agree, the worst was the Walkathon one, they had the walkathon thing, the road trip, i think there was some stuff about Paula, but all the new ones have too many subplots

I've only just begun to watch Home Movies (and Adult Swim in general), but I like it a lot. Are older episodes ever aired? I would be interested to see for myself which I like more.

And karva...it would be in their "best interest" to move onto other things...not "should." :p ;)

Heh... :P

Yes, they show the older episodes. After season 2 finishes, they'll probably show the season again and THEN they'll go back from the start and show all the episodes from the very begining.

Are season one episodes superior?

Well, I don't know, but every single episode of that season was memorable. They all stood apart; they were each their own original episode. The past couple of episodes of the new season make me feel like I've been watching one episode. I can't really tell these episodes apart as much as I'd like to. Oh well.

I'd agree that the new episodes are definitely more serial than the first season. But me, I like it. It gives it a more unique feel than most animated sitcoms to have plots building onto each other. Me, I think this season is, more or less, exactly like last one. I don't see any real noticeable or important changes other than those that come naturally with a show's evolution. In fact, the newer episodes are captivating me in a way the first season never really managed too. And I'll always remember "Therapy" as its own episode. I loved it; thought it had some great moments.
