I remember reading here a while back that G4 was planning to have a Spaceballs animated series, and I've seen ad promos for it on the G4 channel as well. So far, all I've seen on G4 for the time I've had it was Ninja Warrior, Attack of the Show, and X-Play. I am wondering if anyone else has seen this Spaceballs cartoon, and if so, when did it air? Will it come out on DVD?
REPENT!! THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Spaceballs animated series hasn't premiered yet. You haven't missed it. And since the show hasn't made its' debut as of yet, it's far too early to be expecting a DVD.
But the word came out last year, noones kept tabs on it?

It actually has potential since Mel Brooks is working on it but I don't know when it's suppose to air.

I still think this show has promise considering that Brooks is penning the scripts. :) Mel Brooks has never left me down with his parodies before and I don't think he will now.

Spaceballs: The Animated Series, also known as Spaceballs: The TV Series, is an in-production animated (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animated) television (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Television) series to be aired exclusively on G4 TV (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G4_TV) and based on the parody (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parody) sci-fi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sci-fi) film Spaceballs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaceballs).
Production began in early 2005 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005) under the supervision of Brooksfilms Limited (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Brooksfilms_Limited&action=edit&redlink=1), MGM (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MGM) and Berliner Film Company GmbH (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Berliner_Film_Company_GmbH&action=edit&redlink=1). A total of 13 episodes are planned to be aired on G4 starting June 1st, 2008.[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaceballs:_The_Animated_Series#cite_note-0) Mel Brooks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mel_Brooks) will not only direct the writing, but will also voice two characters, President Skroob and Yogurt, who were both played by Brooks in the original 1987 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1987) film. [2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaceballs:_The_Animated_Series#cite_note-1) Daphne Zuniga (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daphne_Zuniga) and Joan Rivers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joan_Rivers) will also reprise their roles from the film, although Bill Pullman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Pullman) will not. Tino Insana (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tino_Insana&action=edit&redlink=1) will replace the late John Candy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Candy) as "Barf."
If were to belive Wikipedia it starts next week

G4 did announce that it was gonna start June 1, but their schedule for that date is now up, and still no sign of it.

Apparently Canada's Super Channel is airing this now, and G4 still has no schedule for it.

So is the title ("Spaceballs: The Animated Series") an homage to "Batman: The Animated Series" or the movies running gag of "Spaceballs the toilet paper", "Spaceballs the breakfast cereal", "Spaceballs the flame thrower" and so on?
Or maybe its a reference to both.

I'm guessing the latter running gag.
I just can't wait to see how this turns out, Mel Brooks is a genius, the creators of Meet The Spartans could learn something from him, this show has so much to parody, recent Sci-Fi films and even animated shows and films.
