I'm looking for some thing new this fall. I'm a huge fan of Heroes and want to find some thing new to watch that has action and drama in it. Can any one help me with his?

Do you watch 24 or Prison Break? Those are always my first recommendations.

You could also give Lost or House a spin. However, you might not be able to find lost in the fall, so you can try for House on its home network (I forget which one it is) or on TBS/USA channel (I also forget which one it it there, too).

I'm talking about brand new. Every thing else is half way threw seasons, the way I'd be able to catch the first season of Supernatural is if I buy the DVD's and trust me I am curious about that show, I've seen a lot of promos for the show that catch my intrest but I won't know what its really about till I check the first season. Thats when the explaine every thing.

Any who yah I'm looking for some thing new this fall that's actiony/drama on its first season yah.

DaftPunkFan37 is My Worst Enemy new? I'll give it a chance if so, I haven't seen any promos for it yet, course I haven't really been watching NBC since Heroes and Chuck have been off the air.

Can any one help me with his? There aren't that many good genre shows like that around. Not that I'm saying Heroes is any good, of course. :) Have you tried The Sarah Connor Chronicles? After a so-so start, it turned out be more entertaining than I had expected. What about Battlestar Galactica? Or if you're after something more light-hearted, Eureka or Chuck?

Supernatural is the best show on television. Then there's might be something wrong with your television.:p

What I'm going to recommend is the Terminator Show Sarah Connor (good lord I'm in love with that actress) Chronicles and Supernatural. Now I know you want to be in on the SERIES PREMIER episodes of a show but please let me explain.

I get where you're coming from here. I'm like that too. The only problem I found with that is that statistically speaking, if and when I gear myself up to jump on a show's train when it premieres, I end up disappointed or loosing interest in the show. That makes sense, though, right? Not every show that premieres (especially one where you're on board the first episode) is going to be what you're looking for.

That's why I've adopted my WATCHING ANIME mentality. God knows Anime shows are long and complicated enough that even if I watch the first episode, I still don't know what's going on! But I jump in on the ride anyway, because I've learned that with Anime it's okay for me to not know what's going on at all times. I just can't, because I don't watch a lot of Anime. It's a different culture so shows that are knew to you take some breaking in.

SUPERNATURAL

I don't know if Supernatural is the best show on television, and actually I kinda consider it not, but I can consider myself an expert in terms of being a fan of the show for the past season or two (out of three so far). The beauty of the show is, the CORE stuff you need to understand is so simple. Two brothers, they're demon hunters just like their dad was, although as a result they kinda grew up without him because of it. The writing is good, fast paced, and fun. Please note, though, that as a Rogue Demon hunter myself in the Sci-Fi world, this show is a more gory than most.

The only thing you have to make note of is the show's display of the demon mythology. Salt wards off demons (among other things), for example, and you can contain them using pentagrams and incantations. It's somewhat like Buffy and Angel except where Vampires are the primary nasty you see in those shows, the primary nasties you see in this show are just generic "demons" that show up in the bodies of humans, dead or alive.

Granted, by now a lot has happened in the show, specifically with the tail end of the most recent season which just ended this past week (mid May 2008). But if you really like it, you'll enjoy picking up what you didn't know as you go along.

SARAH CONNER CHRONICLES

With the Terminator show, it only had one season so far, so that wouldn't be hard to pick up. And frankly, the first season of EVERY show is going to have a lot of holes in it before it gets to hit its stride, if its good enough to develop one. One example of a mistake is that a time flux happened so some characters could go back in time, and by accident they took with them the head of a Terminator Robot. According to the movies, such non-organic material isn't supposed to be able to be transported through that technology!

Anyway, there have been some things that happened in this past season, and it's more involved than your average Terminator movie (significant time travel), but that could really be covered with some search engine searches and Wikipedia, to see if you're interested that way.

My main point about this show is it's just getting started, so if that's where you want to come in, then The Terminator show might allow for that, having only had one season so far.

I've never watched this show because I'm not big on fantasy/horror. But I caught the first five minutes last week after Smallville's season finale and it looked very interesting. It was kind of a synopsis of the whole series as far as I could tell. I had no idea that they actually used guns to fight demons (is that right?), which sounds kind of cool.

Do they ever re-run past season episodes of Supernatural or do I need to look for DVD's?

Oh yeah, and for the original poster, I recommend USA Network's Burn Notice. And I'll second the recommendation for Sarah Connor and Battlestar Galactica.

I agree with those who said Supernatural is the best show on TV. It is the ONLY show that delivers good episodes EVERY week (Or at least the last 2 seasons, 1st season wasnt as great as the others)

I just started watching Battlestar Galactica this weekend because it was recommended to me by a friend. I'm only halfway through the first season and I'm already addicted to it. Make sure that you watch the mini-series before watching season one, so you fully understand what's going on. It's definitely worth the watch.

Season 2 of Mad Men starts in July on AMC.

If you're old enough (no offense; I didn't check first), Nip/Tuck and Dexter, although Nip/Tuck has been around for awhile. Still the best show ever, though.
Bones is also cool, but not all that new.

Well, actually, a lot of shows have episodes online, so you don't really have to buy the DVDs. All of the episodes of the Sarah Conner Chronicles are on the Fox website. And I believe ABC has all of the Lost episodes on their website. But, to answer your question, it seems like two of the shows that have the biggest hype next year are The Fringe and Dollhouse, mainly due to their creators. The Fringe was created by J.J. Abrams, who is famous for Lost, Alias, and Felicity, and Dollhouse was created by Joss Whedon, who's famous for Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Firefly. Both of these shows will air on Fox.

Ok than I'll check out the show. I'll give the lineups a good look too.

Master Moron-I forgot that you could watch episodes online. Supernatural is on channle 5 right? Or is it 8? I know its on the same channle as the Reaper and I haven't watched it in a while.

I agree, Supernatural is one of the best shows on TV. People who aren't watching it should really check it out, as it's probably the best genre show to come on since The X-Files.

No, but it has drama, so I thought it was worth mentioning.

Channels very widely depending on your TV service, so it's be wiser to ask for the network name.

Reaper and Supernatural are show on The CW network (http://cwtv.com/)
Looks like they only have the most recent 4 episodes up online.

You could also rent or use Netflix to catch up on older seasons.
It's not nearly as expensive as buying full season sets. Hollywood Video and probably Blockbuster Video stock TV on DVD. Thats how I got into 24 and Battlestar Galactica.

Also here's a promo video for Fringe (http://fox.com/programming/shows/new/fringe_video.htm)
since you're looking for brand new show info

Okay, so I wasn't born yesterday but I'll still take that as a compliment. (only joking)

So no one else has seen Burn Notice? I think it's the best (non-scifi) action show on television right now. Season two is supposed to start this summer. I highly recommend it because it's clever and funny with lots of stuff going fast and blowing up! The cast is excellent and includes Bruce Campbell so you know the show is cool.

Burn Notice is an excellent show, and the second season will rock. Season 1 comes out on DVD in June.
