Starz Media: Producing shows for every network EXCEPT Starz!

I can't help but notice something odd about the fact that Starz Entertainment, parent of Encore and Starz cable networks, owns a very high profile animation studio, Film Roman. It's even housed in the Starz building in Burbank with Starz Home Ent. and another subsidiary.

Film Roman, which is what Starz Media is calling it now after downplaying the name for years, has produced shows for clients including Nickelodeon, Marvel, ABC, Fox, Warner Bros, HBO, Image, Sci Fi Channel, and several others, but their own sister network Starz has commissioned nothing from them. It makes me wonder why Starz Entertainment even has them at all. Starz has a large subscriber base with plenty of money to commision an animated series, so I wonder why they haven't done so yet.

If I'm not mistaken I think the whole point of Starz is to JUST be a movie channel. HBO does a great job of airing both movies and original TV shows, but I think Starz just wants to air movies. :confused:

The Starz family does air TV series, including anime on Starz Edge. Head Case (http://www.starz.com/appmanager/seg/s?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=template&template_dir=/features/headcase/&template_file=content.html) is an original Starz series.
