Already? Bandai's certainly milking it.

It also seems that they're going to do the same format as Outlaw Star, Code Geass, FUNi's Ragnarok & AQUARION with Toward the Terra. Which they included two discs.

This is the talkback thread for Bandai Entertainment Announces July Solicitations (http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=23709)

My-Otome for sure, Lucky Star maybe, if I happen to like the show (and most people say it gets infinitely better after the first four episodes anyway).

Definitely going to try Toward the Terra. Don't know if I want to spend the money on Lucky Star just now, though volume 3 will be tempting with the convention episode...

Towards the Terra is following the Code Geass Model: a volume 1, a volume 2 and a collection with both

Seriously? That gives me much more hope for a bulk release for Gundam 00. Its starting to sound as though this is becoming a fairly regular thing with Bandai.

According to the thread over at AOD, Toward the Terra is sub-only.

Way to fail Bandai. -_-

Which makes you wonder if this is a covert victory for BVUS.

That's a disappointment and somehow I doubt Toward the Terra's going to get a dub-later treatment like Gurren Lagann, but at least the price is right. It makes me sad to see some discount buying it as a result. A good sale will make the price an absolute steal, the whole thing will be easily attainable for about $40. I figure it'll be at least as good as Crest of the Stars, and therefore worthwhile.

On the off chance a dub is announced and this sub-first, dub-later thing becomes a trend, I'll wait for the dub like with Lagann. So now my feelings are hope that they don't do this for Gundam 00, because half of me will want the dub and half of me will want to not wait to support the show. And double-dipping is something I have a natural bias against.

Anyway, that internal conflict aside, hopefully all this turns out to be smart business practice. Bandai has some great shows coming and by all rights they should be kicking some ass.
