Well....I'm sucky at starting topics....so, uh, this is the discussion point for it, I suppose. Discuss! :D
I'll start us off: I hate to admit it, but the comics seem to be on the verge of getting too stupid even for the Simpsons. Many of the plots are really just cruel to all the chars, frequently putting them in situations even more farfetched then the TV series. I point out to you the 40s' issues, particuraly numbers 47 and 48, and issue 54 (Homer gets a tank).
I suppose it's just the critic in me getting out, but the stories are just getting boing to read also...it's predictable what will happen once you learn of the latest "Simpsons are in a really dangerous, deadly plot"-it's just a matter of getting them into humorous near death situations that they convinently escape. Issue 50 was the last good issue, in my opinion.
What do you think? Are the stories fine, or need work?
