I was just wondering, but have all of the episodes of this cancelled cartoon ever air? Cause all the information I've looked at have pointed at only 4 of the 13 episodes airing. And strangely, information for all these unaired episodes are on TV.com.

It was pulled from Kids' WB after a few weeks because of extremely low ratings. Other countries may have aired the episodes, I guess, but it never aired in the United States again.

I saw it air on the Armed Forces Network on military bases.

The show was pretty bad.

IIRC, it was actually one of the highest rated shows on the now-defunct Toonami UK for a bit...

Take that as you will about how that channel was.

I think the first episode did decently, but then the kids realized how awful the show was, and didn't watch any more of it.

When Kids WB leaves in two weeks, this will be one show I WON'T remember fondly.

I was disgusted when they tried to replace Static Shock with that.

I think they still play it is England or something like that.

No, the premiere did just as bad.

WB (Kids' WB!) 3.3/16 Avg. (8a-12N)
Jackie Chan 2.2/15; Mucha Lucha 3.0/16; Teen Titans 3.5/16; Xiaolin Showdown 3.7/16; Pokemon 3.9/16; The Batman 3.7/15; Yu-Gi-Oh 4.3/19; Da Boom Crew 2.3/11It lost nearly half the viewers from Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Wow, the ratings were MUCH better back then. Now shows are lucky to be getting 1.3s...

Where did you find those ratings, btw?

Ouch.

But wait, I don't understand one thing. The denominator of Yu-Gi-Oh's rating score is 19 and Boom Crew's is 11. Wouldn't the actual ratings be about the same, given fractions and division?

Where did you find those ratings, btw?Cynopsis' archives (http://www.cynopsis.com/content/category/5/21/53/). Generally the Friday reports have the ratings for Saturday mornings.

You shouldn't read the ratings as fractions. Here's a little blurb I found that explains Nielsen's ratings system.

Let's say a certain show got a 10.0/18. The RATING, 10.0, on the left represents the actual number of households that watched a show. One rating point equals 1,102,000 households. The SHARE, 18, on the right represents the show's proportion of the total households watching television at that time.

For example, this show has a 10 rating/18 share. That means 11,020,000 households are tuned in to the show and 18% of all the households with a TV turned on are watching that show.

So basically, both the rating and the share increase (or decrease) together.

4 weeks for Da Boom Crew? Kids WB's Legend of Calamity Jane and Brats of the Lost Nebula lasted 3 weeks each but aired all complete in Canada.

I also want to know something...did they producers behind the show know that they were probably not going to get more than a season? Since the summary for the two-part season finale had them returning home/finding a way home.

That depends on what state of production the final episode was in at the time the first episodes bombed. It's possible they had time to write an ending.

This show was horrible; at the time it debuted I made a parody called "Da Bootylicious Bunch" that no longer makes sense because nobody remembers Da Boom Crew.

I remember reading that...but it took me half an hour to realize the reference.

Man, those ratings are so much better than the ones we have today that its not even funny. Most of Kids' WB shows usually don't get much past 1.0 rating.

As for the topic at hand, I actually do remember Da Boom Crew. Dear goodness was that awful. I recall the commercials making it sound interesting, but then I actually watched the first episodes. I think that one of my problems with the show was how every character constantly used slang terms. That gets old after awhile. At least they did wise up and take it off after the first four episodes aired. Yeah, this show definitely isn't one of the Kids' WB shows that I particularly cared for back in the day.

The main villians were Morris Day and his sidekick Jerome as purple aliens. That's the only reason I remember it.

Yeah, that's about the only reason I remember it too...and I didn't even watch it, I just saw those two baddies on the commercials and just through them I could tell how bad this show was. :p
