I voted for Spike, but I also liked Tom's lookalike cousin because that was the only time I can think of that Tom bested Jerry.

I voted for Nibbles/Tuffy. His presence in a film would often make Jerry a little more of a sympathetic character. I especially liked him in the Mouseketeer shorts, where he spoke in that cute french accent, and his English accent in Robin Hoodwinked.

I don't know whether spike was butch so I voted for butch.

Officially, Spike is the dog and Butch is the black cat, even though Spike is referred as Butch in a couple of shorts.
