In the latest promo for Cowboy Bebop, a 2-minute one, Jet Black reflects on the events of the show, apparently post-RFB. In one line, he says it all: "I don't care to think about what happened to the guys when it all went down." Obviously in reference to the final episode.
Jet was apparently very serious when he stopped caring about Spike (although he showed pain in wiping the same spot on the window repeatedly).
And it seems he also ditched Faye and went off to be alone.. possibly to settle down in Ganymede, maybe even returning to be a cop.
Anyone else catch the promo? It was VERY well done.

I'll put it up soon.
I swear I never heard the line of dialogue at all at any point in the anime. It had to have been a new line recorded by Beau(did Beau also provide exclusive narration in that one CB commercial or did WS take it from a DVD or something? Just curious). I just know this promo is gonna open a pandora's box, if the line is indeed a newly recorded one.
At the very least, it would provide a LITTLE more closure.. something I desperately sought in Real Folk Blues and didn't get.

Okay, the exact dialogue was:
"What can I tell ya? It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Truthfully, I don't think about those guys much since all that stuff went down."
If this WAS in an episode, I apologize, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut I've NEVER heard it before. And I've practically memorized all the lines in the anime up to this point. :)

Thanks, I actually got the commercial from Tyler. Yeah, it's pretty clear that that dialoge is brand new, made for the commerical. It's a bad-***** commercial, but I wouldn't take it as "what happens after RFB." ;)

If I heard that quote before, i'd never forget it. It wasn't in the show. It is new.
Jet's VA got payed some cashby CN to make some commercials. Two new ones in fact.
They should get David Lucas to do one.

Actually, I'm rather pleased with the fact that they used Beau instead of the more obvious choice of David Lucas. D. L. is great, but he's in enough commercials as it is. . .

In that case, you might as well make up your own closure, cuz I bet this was written by some CN exec...

I swear I heard jet say in the last promo "I ended up raising Ein, turns out i liked dogs after all." Well I'm thinking since ein left with ed does that mean he raised ed too?

That's a good point. In the last episode promo speech, Jet DOES say that he ends up raising Ein. It poses the question: Do Ed & Ein come back later on? OR is Jet reflecting on the series? The second one is more believeable, but the first one is cooler.

C'mon, you guys. That line is in reference to what happens during the series, not to what happens after.

Yeah--if you listened what he said AFTER that line, he muttered, "where is Ein, anyway?" (I'm paraphrasing)

Did you watch Cowboy Bebop this past Saturday? They played it then. Other than from the broadcasts, you can find the previews for each episode on the DVDs/VHS tapes.

Cool, it's in the downloads section of this site, too.
That's funny..... You never struck me as an anime fan Matt.....

I think it was "I wonder where he ran off to?". I guess he was probably oblivious to the fact that....Ein left at the end of Session 24 to go with Ed
At least that's what I got out of it. :p
