Last time: Aizen tryed to take away Rukia from Renji but Ichigo came to the rescue! Ichigo and Renji teamed up to stop Aizen from taking Rukia but they both fail and Ichigo gets stabbed badly. Aizen explains that he was behind everything and new Ichigo would come to save Rukia and that Ichigo now has no more purpose in his plan and should back off quickly. But.. before Aizen finishes explaining a certain captain arrives who screams... AIIIIIIIIIIIZZZZENNNNN!!!!!!!
Today: With the Soul Society knowing that Aizen is a traitor can he finish his plan and get away with Gin and Tosen? And is Ichigo still able to fight?
OH AND NO SPOILERS WHICH MEANS NO TALK ABOUT FUTURE VILLAINS OR ARCS! IF YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT THAT THEN TAKE IT TO THE ANIME FORUM GOT THAT!? *cough*

Am I right in thinking this will finally end either this week or next?
FOXMAN SMAAAAASH!!
Whoa, who shot your title card?
Aaaaah! More character history!!
Again I say that Soul Reapers have disturbingly high blood pressure. Perhaps they should eat more vegetables.
Sheesh. The least you could do was ask first.
Byakkuya is officially stripped of his Ineffectual Bastard status.
And reinforcements arrive left and right.
Soul Reapers of the world unite!
ALL THAT AND THEY JUST RUN AWAY?! ...just what we need, another Orochimaru.
Orihime gets props.
Momo lives!
If you think you can just do all that and expect forgiveness...okay, fine, you're cool.
So Rukia is Byakkuya's step-daughter as well as his sister?

EDIT- 3000th POST!!!
So no one dies? Of course no one died, it SJ title.
in SJ titles people usualy die, its just hardly ever the good guys and the important baddies live till the last fight (like Gin, Tousen, and Aizen probably will).

I'd been waiting for the dubbed scene with Byakuya since I first knew Bleach was going to air on AdultSwim! It's single handily one of the best moments in the show. [At least for me it is]
See!! All of you who called him a bastard and an ass and a monster and a beast[ he is actually so wonderful and squishy inside~*super fangirly*]- of course he had his reasons. Either his promise or his loyalty to his parents.
Love rules over all.
But in all honesty, that is such a beautiful scene. Byakuya makes me happy inside. I had a few tears, I'll admit. Especially when he beckons Rukia to come over to him, and she grasps his hand, and even the mention of his late wife. I'm a huge Hisana X Byakuya shipper. It's so tragic.
Also- Aizen finally dismisses his old 'scholarly' look for the more 'I'm better than you' suave comb back hair cut. The Fonz in disguse?

wow, Aizens hand must have been realy greesy.
The best part of the episode for me(as it was in the manga) was Byakuya finally coming to Rukia's rescue (better late than never,I suppose)....and finally learning the REAL reason why he wouldn't save her/allow anyone else to(I still think he chose wrong,to honor the wishes of his parents rather than his wife, esp. since unlike the other three mentioned,Rukia's still alive, but at least he acknowledges his mistake and apologizes) ....
On a side note, how many times are they going to advertise the Bleach trading card game tonight?....seems they're showing it every commercial break...

So no one dies?
No kidding. All those sword fights, over the top bankai, gallons of blood spilled and the only people who get killed were the Central 46. And they pretty much existed offscreen.
This show's way too in love with its overly large cast of characters and it's a drawback with all the jumping back and forth, flashbacks, and what not between them.

You have got to be freaking kidding me. Healed my ass, Momo had already been dead for awhile, what that healer chick captain can resurrect people now? Ugh...I expected Toshiro to be okay but come on, after all this not ONE meaningful casualty?
Lots of points of interest in this episode though:
Byakuya= not a total ****** bastard like I had been thinking all along, I rather like him now that he explained his reasons and all that cool badassedness of his can be directed toward a deserving target!
Was that a little touch of regret or sadness from Gin as he looked back at her while he and all the baddies were beamed up to the Enterprise? I'm shocked, I thought he was completely vile and heartless to the core? The plot thickens!
I really wish Yoruichi would have just cut Aizen's damn head off when she had the chance, I mean he already explained his evil plan to Ichigo and Co., so whats the point of not killing him when the opportunity presented itself? Ah well we wouldn't have much of a show then would we?

maybe because we don't really see them again.
- I don't like that Aizen's line was changed from "I will stand in heaven" to "I will stand at the top". blargh. because you lose the whole meaning there... standing at the top could be anything, but that implying the heaven is empty and that he is going to try to take it over means so much more.
- Though I've read far, FAR ahead in the manga, I do think the way the anime explained his master plan was easier to understand otherwise.
- Oh, and count me in as a Gin X Matsumodo shipper... around her is the only time he drops that grin and sarcasm and shows regret and genuine emotion.
- I LIKE the backstories! these aren't just a bunch of meaningless battles, the emotions that run through each conflict is what makes it intheresting to me and gives it depth.
- I will agree that Bleach has too many characters, and it keeps adding more as it goes along.

Gah. I love the episodes where everybody comes together and fights the super-mega-evil and in the end he's super strong so he escapes. Though, admittantly, there wasn't any fighting, and he escaped because of his super evil, not his super strength.
Speaking of super evil... I love his transformation, if only because it implies that greasy hair is the stuff that bad guys have, and glasses are only worn by heroes.

I felt bad for Komamura when he realized what Tousen did, especially since he seemed to be such a good friend to him. Of course the bad guys get away, but using the Menos Grandes was a nice way to exit. Nice twist of Rukia really being Byakuya's sister in-law.

ok, so Aizen got his little jewel from Rukia. other than that, we saw him change "SHIPPO SMASH!" in the 'sniveling shippo'. sure, rukia's bro reveals why he was so mean, but that was easily seen a mile away (hands all fangirls a hanky:sweat:)
this whole eppy would have been better if there was at least a little fight with the bad guys completely dominating the captians as they showed up. granted, everyone else was injured/tired from all the other fights, that would have made all this setting up by Aizen even more dastardly.
imagine:
Aizen: "You all might have stood a chance, if you had thought about why you were being led to fight, and stopped. But since all you simpletons are so easily manipulated, I stand here with all of you at my feet. BWAHAHAHAHAHHA"
ok, maybe I shouldn't said that out loud, but you get my point.

No, it would have been better if he let the captains kill each other. Like, if he let the old dude kill those other two captains he could then kill the old dude right as he was using his finishing move. Then he could go "Just as planned." I really hate that old dude.

You know an episode's cool when it only repeats like 20 or so seconds of the last one. Well if you're a shonen anime anyway and only doing 20 seconds is a lot more berable then 2 minutes or more. Anyway Konohamra gets his own flashback to his Soul Reaper academy days when he was hiding his furry side from everyone before he gets black box of death by super Aizen. Yeah like no one saw that coming with how Aizen has been pwning everyone. What is rather annoying is that the rest of our human heroes show up only to get stopped by.. powering up. Poweirng up by the guy under Aizen sadly enough. Seriously, I don't think ti was that bad in DBZ but really here it's just sad. Also sad is how every hero came to try and help (Byakuka saving his sister, Kuukaku and Jirobobo beating up the other three Soul Society guards [no wait that happened in the manga only and wasn't shown here for some reason. Really when does the anime CUT OUT fights from the manga?], Soi Fon and Yourouchi grabbing Aizen, 9th Lientuant Shuuei grabing Tosen, Matsumto getting Gin and everyone else just standing around) and then Aizen just disappearing into a hollow light thanks to obtaining the Soukoyou. So in other words, though it dosen't seem like he really killed anyone, Aizen's plan won and he and his two followers escaped off without really a hitch. And now he's got a look that dosen't scream nerd but rather screams "finally I can appear as the badass you all saw that I am"). I've said this before but this is really one of the few instances of a bad guy totally completley and utterly winning at the end of an arc: no if, and or butts about it.
So in the fallout everyone's hearing and for those of you interested now we finally see why Byakuya wanted to kill Ruika. In other words "here's a flashback to showcase I'm actually sort of a nice guy who tradegy happened to and this is the reason why I did this" sort of thing. So turns out his wife Was Ruika's long lost older (and identical scarily enough) sister who made Byakuya promise to take care of Ruika. But since he broke the rules doing that he promised never to break the rules ever again even if it came down to killing his sister. In truth even if that is his noble logic I really can't buy that or care about his reasoning. And really in truth I would of liked a line saying "but now that I found out the law I was following turned out to just be part of some manical jerk's evil scheme maybe I should try screwing the rules more often so I can be a main character like Ichigo". Okay not in those words but you know what I mean. So though the ending was kind of bleh I did like everyone appearing and Aizen's exit. Anyway next time seems we'll be getting wrap up though I guess we won't be getting the special 63 which those who have seen the japanese release would know about (since according the the schedule there's only one slot for 63 not an hour slot. Oh well).
The "special" was just Kon and others sort of narrating the seven big battles of the Soul Society Arc anyway with exposition on what Aizen did and all with some sort of funny moments I guess

I do not mind fillers much for Bleach since I hear the filler arc is good and that it lasts as long as this whole Soul Society arc:sweat:(even a bit longer?). Thats going to be one long ride.. and once thats over with we are going to have to wait for MORE episodes since I am sure its going to stop for a while after the filler arc is over.

Okay remember back in the beginning of the Soul Society arc when Ichigo and the gang had first landed in front of Soul Society? Well they were stopped by the gate keeper Jidanbo. There are four Gate Keepers, each assigned with guarding one of the four gates around Soul Society (Jidanbo is the guard of the western gate the way Ichigo and co came from). If you remember Ichigo was able to beat him and Jidanbo agreed to let them pass into Soul Society before being struck down by Gin and having to go through way of the fireworks bomb. He had been healed by Orihimie though and went with Kukaku into Soul Society. However what they did drastically differs from what happened in the anime and in the manga.
In the anime they first appeared and blasted around Aizen after Gin had stabbed through Byakuya. Then Soi Fon and Yorouchi appeared and surrounded Aizen.
In the manga Soi Fon and Yorouchi appeared first (after Gin had stabbed through Byakuya) and tried to make him give up. Aizen then had the other three gate keepers (Higonyudo guard of the South Gate, Danzomaru guard of the North Gate, and Kaiwan guard of the East Gate) appear. He stated that the two couldn't surround him and fight of the guards at the same time, which is when Kukaku and Jidanbo appeared appeared. Jidanbo then defeated the other guards (noting how Aizen must of brainswashed them hard for them to betray Soul Society) and the scene went on as normal. For some reason the anime cut out the fight amongst the guards. Probably in order to fit the chapters of the manga version they wanted into epsiode 62.
You wouldn't remember the guards otherwise since they haven't made any other appearences
as of yet
In the anime. There have been three other guards mentioned but you only see the guards appear in the whole Aizen fight in the manga, not in the anime.

no, DBZ was worse in one scene, remember when cell was doing the Kamehameha power struggle with gohan, all of the Z fighters except vegeta, all who were people who were once a match for Goku, were unable to make Cell even flich when they blasted him from behind at the same time, that saddened my heart.
