That CG promo for GI Joe kicks serious butt. Is that for a new series, or a new movie perhaps? That looks just way too good to just be a commercial for a website.

Right now..it is just for the toys

Last year there was a toyfare somewhere..when this whole new line was sneak peeked..there was talk of internet only toons.

Have not heard anymore info about it ...

It was supposed to be a movie, they made a trailor, but it was turned down. Now, it's just a really cool ad.

I really liked this commercial. Just being able to see Snake Eyes and the new Cobra Commander look rocked! I'm guessing that the commercial was done by Mainframe, but I could be wrong. They also had some pretty good VAs who I wouldn't mind hearing in a series if it ever pans out. On or offline.

It was done by Mainframe.

Holy Sugar Smacks!! Everyone I know was talkin' about that. That is a damn shame. I would pay outta my pocket to see Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow go at it like that again.

Actually, it wasn't done by Mainframe, it was done by a company called ReelFX who have done a couple Transformers & Zoids commercials for Hasbro.

I always thought Mainframe did all of Hasbro's Transformers commercials. Well this company did an excellent job with GI Joe, especially the Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow fight and the intorduction to Cobra Commander and Destro. They also do a Medabots commercial as well. No, the guy doing the voice for Duke in the GI Joe commercial is Gary Chalk who of course did the voice for Optimus Primal in Beast Wars/Machines. Oddly enough, Gary Chalk voiced the lead character in GI Joe Extreme which was a rather "crappy" series that aired several years ago.
