Okay folks. Smallville may not have been as entertaining, interesting or intelligently-written as we may have liked, but it did introduce a whole bunch of supporting characters who could be spun off into their own shows.
Who would you like to see get spun-out into their own series?
The obvious choices are Green Arrow and Supergirl, but let's not forget the wide appeal of Aquaman since the Mercy Reef series tanked. It's entirely possible that if they tweak their series bible a bit and re-film the Justin scenes with the guy who actually played Aquaman on Smallville, they could start up a whole new series.
I'm also going to include Chloe in there as an option. If she can make this show worth watching, I don't see why Allison Mack couldn't handle a series all her own.

I like Green Arrow & Supergirl.
The other superheroes I don't really like the Smallville incarnation of.
Chloe I couldn't really see happening without a Superhero to do the heavy lifting, like Birds of Prey.

I could see Chloe maybe being some kind of travelling Super Hero personal investigator. Someone close to figuring out your secret ID? Call Chloe Sullivan! Or maybe she'd just open up a detective agency or something. Where in the World is Chloe Sullivan?
I admit, it wouldn't be the same thing as a superhero-centered show, but with a good writing staff, Chloe Chronicles could be really interesting. Maybe with an occassional appearance from Pete or Jimmy?
Green Arrow has been the only superhero that I've enjoyed on the show, the others were "meh". And a show about Chloe, well that seems like a rehash. She's practically the second most important character of the show already.

Would not Kara take over Smallville if Clark finally went to Metropolis?

While I think that's a good idea, most people might just take it as a Veronica Mars knock off now that it's done. If she took up a role similar to the one in the episode "Justice" as the Oracle or someone in the watchtower, then I think she would have a better shot.
I'm scratching off Supergirl, mainly because of the actress currently playing her. I don't like her performance at all, I don't care how hot everyone thinks she is. Doing a spin-off on the character would mean bringing her in also, so I'll pass.
I'm not gonna add Aquaman either, because his character is simply just a tough sell for any network to promote seriously. No matter how popular the failed pilot was, it's doubtful that any network will give it a chance anymore now than before.
Green Arrow probably has a much better shot imo. Cyborg and Impulse could also be done, but they run the risk of running out of interesting stories very fast. Martian Manhunter would be awesome, but it might be hard to pull off on a budget that didn't at least match the one on Smallville.

Where's the choice for none of the above? If it's anything like Smallville is now, I wouldn't want to touch it with a ten-foot pole. =[

Chloe, for 2 reasons. Those shows would most likely suck, and I think I love Allison Mack.

Boo you forgot the Flash, didn't he appear in this series? If any one deserves a series its that guy. I think it would pretty cool, him or the Green Arrow :)

He goes by Impulse on the show.

Word. I hate Supergirl on this series. I thought they might have gone through the trouble of planning a clear and interesting arc for her this season, but it's been very jumpy, and consistantly poorly acted. The Zor-El stuff especially. Ugh.

Hey, I don't like Smallville much either, but that wasn't my question. I wanted to know who people thought should get a spin-off, if anybody did.

I agree. I mean, it really couldn't be any worse than Smallville, right? Allison could host a cooking show and I'd watch. She's got great energy.

I agree. Realistically, I think he stands the best chance of landing a spin-off, but I'm really doubting it would happen. Which is too bad. They've already found two great actors to play the leads (Ollie and Dinah), and made the costumes. Who would the other supporting characters be, though? Who would the villains be?
I just think that if WB was open to pouring money into a pilot as weak as BOP's was, they should see just how much better a property Green Arrow already is.

I agree that a Green Arrow series would be the most likely spin-off if the CW were interested. Seeing as how the character is so much more cavalier than Clark it could actually be a show about how rewarding and fun it is to be a super-hero.
Personally I'd love to see an MM series. The character has so much potential but I doubt the network would be willing to take the chance. I thought Phil Morris was great casting and would love to see him in an ongoing series. It could be the opposite of Smallville- instead of a guy coming to terms with his alien heritage, it would be about an alien acclimating to Earth.
Either way I'd want a show that doesn't wallow in the trough of teen-angst. Course the CW might be the wrong network for that.
