people i got a question when it comes to justice league unlimited

how exactly would the series have gone over if the 5th season had ended with a final episodes set 5 years or so after destroyer.

an episode in which the whole opening scene before the opening credits is for all intents and purposes a very nearly entirely faithful animated adaption of the wedding scene ceremony ending from superman the weding album

the only key differance though would be that professor emil hamilton would be the only person who would not appear in the scene due to his having been on bad terms with superman when it comes to the whole legacy and cadmus affair

the next scene after the opening credits would show the newly wedded clark and lois kent being escorted to the airport by bruce wayne and diana in which they would fly the kents to themyscira island.

john jones the martian manhunter would meet the kents on the island with his role in the episode being that he would read superman's mind while superman would do his level best to remember as clearly as possible the dream he had in the season 4 episode

for the man who has everything

john would then mentally share with lois and diana supermans memory of the dream itself

as for dianan's role in the matter it would be 2 fold

one she would aid clark and lois in their attempt to create a clay statue of a very young male child

2 she would be the kents representing voice to the olympian gods with diana making a impassioned plea to the gods that the statue be given life and the chance to live its life as a predominantly kryptonian human child

the final scene of the episode would of the statue being given lie and it being made rather clear that as a living being the child would for all intents and purposes be a lving van- el

in short people superman would make an attempt to both honor his promise to the son he lost when he forced himself to wake up from that dream in the episode

for the man who has everything

and at the same time gain a true son to carry on his legacy in giving that person true life as a living being with this episode serving as a superman counterpart to season jlu 4's episode epilogue

me i figure for all the good he has done throughout his lifetime superman would at the very least be deserving of that much in the end

i dont know about anyone else here but i seriously pityied the guy when he realised he was dreaming and forced himself to wake up from the dream near the tail end of for the man who has everything

i actually think that would have made for a memorable episode to close out the final season with.

what ar your thoughts people?

the way i figure it the kids dna, the kryptonien half would be the geneticly dominant one of the 2

with the other half of the kids dna being human but being an equal parts mix of lois's human dna and diana's amazonian dna with diana's dna being used to bridge the genetic gap between the human and kryptonion dnaas a working model of sorts to model the lois dna after but with it having been tweaked in such a way that the child would have an equally visible resemblance to lois as well.

basicly the kid would literally have 2 mothers in the biological sense

in the official sense though lois would be the true mother of the 2 with diana being the kids godmother and bruce wayne quite possibly being the kids godfather

Is this a question or your own idea for a series finale? I'm not sure what you're asking here.

Anyway, men aren't allowed on Themyscara, so Supes and Mr. Kent wouldn't be allowed to go there. J'onn would be forbidden to visit the island as well. He's a Martian, sure, but he's a male Martian, so the same rules would apply to him as well. Also, Superman only promised that he "wouldn't forget" about his son (who's name was Van-El, btw), not that he would one day return to him, which wouldn't make a lot of sense, since Van was never real to begin with.

Basically, you're suggesting that JLU end with Superman and Lois getting married and then Wonder Woman essentially "making" them a child so that Superman's fantasy world in FTMWHE would come true? That's very sweet, but I think that the shows' producers would prefer to keep everything open ended in case they wanted make a new series.

The other thing is, Justice League Unlimited was always about the team, not just Superman or any one character. "Destroyer" worked as a series finale because it focused on the entire League.

Going with BlackStar's assumption that this is your plot synopsis for 5 more episodes of JLU...I'm not sure it would've worked. Blackstar already highlighted some of the problems with your storyline...but I think your idea is way too complicated for 5 episodes. While I don't doubt it could be done, it would probably require a season at least if we wanted to see what happened to the offspring and how it fitted with the JLU...heck, the whole DCAU continuum.

I'll just echo what's already been said here...seems like a heck of a lot of contrived (and flawed, sorry) storyline to drag out just to get Van-El back on the show. It's not like FTMWHE was all that pivotal a story in the series overall, especially since (as was pointed out previously) Van wasn't even real.

not a five episode storyline bweyond season 5

just a single episode set 5 full years after the end of jlu season 5

dream or not that whole scene where he chokes up telling the kid that his having a family of his own and the kid for his son

dream or not the scene itself implies the possibility that in dream time kal-el saw the kid when he was born and as he went on lving his life as the guys son

dream or not the whole thing was all to real to him with it being his so called reward for a life well lived in the name of the greater good

as for the whole idea of an earth women having his kid

in the elseworlds storylines diana has had his kid on at least 2 occasions

me i figure if the idea ever got explored in the offical sense as an episode storyline it would just be simpler to do a take on dianas character origin when it comes to the fact that her body was originally that of a clay statue brought to the life by the amazons olympian gods

dream or not that whole scene where he chokes up telling the kid that his having a family of his own and the kid for his son

Wha...? I don't understand this sentence.

dream or not the scene itself implies the possibility that in dream time kal-el saw the kid when he was born and as he went on living his life as the guys sonYeah, that's what the plant was supposed to do; it creates an dream like fantasy that's very real to it's victim. You're just stating very obvious facts concerning the episode, but you're not making any points about them.

dream or not the whole thing was all to real to him with it being his so called reward for a life well lived in the name of the greater goodWith emphasis on "so called", because it wasn't real. It was all a plot by Mongul to get Supes out of the way so that he could conquer the Earth. It wasn't a reward, it was trap.

And there's no reason for Wonder Woman to sculpt Supes and Lois a kid when they're both perfectly capable of making one on their own the old fashioned way.

Sorry, but I just don't see where you're going with all of this. It sounds to me like you just want an "Epilogue" type of episode, only focusing on Superman instead of Batman, which isn't inherently a bad idea, but this storyline seems more appropriate as a series finale for Superman: TAS than for Justice League Unlimited, because this story is about Superman and not about the League. I get that you really enjoyed FTMWHE, but the episode didn't really warrant a sequel, and it especially does not work as the series finale of JLU.
