This is my webcomic, updated weekly. www.sparkthecomic.com! I uploaded the trailer for Spark Animated. Please note I'm not posting this up as an advertisement. I just want to know what you guys think of my animation. Your opinion means a lot to me. Well, enjoy. Tell me what you guys think. http://youtube.com/watch?v=lY3JiQiMPKg

Wow, it was very well made, and the 3D clips were very convincing. Also, nearly all of the movement was totally fluid and looked stunning, except for the first shot of the skyline and the fire form the hero's jet boots. It also had good music, but little on the order of sound effects. However, at these early stages, it's quite understandable that these things haven't been done/perfected yet.

My rating on a scale of 0-10: 9.5.

It's amazing, and much better than anything I could ever do. But when I get to the middle, I ask myself: "...Is this Flash?" Well done. 9/10

I think the trailer was fairly well made for an individual effort and a positive evolution of the comic (which I've actually read before). However your style is the antithesis of everything I enjoy about animation, so I shan't be following it.

Oh yeah, your comic needs some work in terms of art style. I just like my action with a sleek comic style, which your Spark comic doesn't have. There is too much irregularly with the characters (head and body sizes changing frequently). Also, your sense of depth needs some work.

Yeah, I know. Hopefully, as time goes on, my art will improve. Thats one of the points of a webcomic.

Please alert us when you finally finish that first Spark: Animated episode. What will it be called anyway?

"The Inventor"

That's interesting. What exactly is the plot?

If I told you that, it wouldn't be a surprise...:D

Really, I can't tell you... its to short. If you know the plot, you pretty much know the whole episode. I can tell you about the second one though. Its called "Ammo". Its about a guy who gets control of a bunch of United States missiles, and holds New York City hostage. In fact, most of the footage from the trailer is from that episode.

Looks pretty good, especially the backflipping.

The squash going into the jump at the start needs a little work. Your foreshortening doesn't properly communicate. The upper arms shrink when they should be getting larger, since the head and shoulders are coming toward the camera. The upper body should tilt on an arc with the pelvis being the central point, therefore the head shouldn't be moving in a straight line but rather a subtle curve. IMHO, I would redraw the angle of the jump to be more of a 3/4 shot of the character, so that the silhouette would read better and so that it would be easier to animate. Of course, that depends on what kinds of shots you have immediately before and immediately after it.

That's really impressive!
