I didn't mention Paramount, UA and Lionsgate because they're all derivative of the main two, right? Anyway, if they do include old TV shows, maybe this'll give exposure to shows who haven't been on TV for years...or "The Hills".

What still baffles me is that National Amusements heads both CBS Corp. and Viacom, and yet Viacom is making a network. Viacom doesn't even have its TV shows, (ok, maybe MTV, and other productions from Viacom and not Paramount Television). MGM doesn't have the biggest modern library. Warner Bros. Entertainment does.
I wonder what will happen to Showtime.

Lionsgate isn't owned by Viacom and/or MGM, and has a pretty big library of movies (Terminator 2, Basic Instinct, the Rambo movies, Total Recall, Dirty Dancing, Reservoir Dogs, American Psycho, the Saw franchise, Lord of War, the Marvel DTV movies, the Tyler Perry empire, etc) and has experience in producing tv shows, including Weeds and Mad Men, something the AP report failed to mention.
I wonder if people are willing to accept another premium network that isn't a part of the other three premium empires (HBO, Showtime, and Starz). Plus, I wonder how this new channel will conflict with deals with the other premiums.

Paramount. Perhaps this could be another outlet to enjoy personal faves such as Frasier and The 4400. Perhaps if they need new original programming THEY can revive The 4400. Wishful thinking.

Hopefully they don't screw this up and turn it into a run-of-the mill cable channel, like TNT or USA. Cable needs some excitement and variety, like in the '90s. This is their chance.
