As I've mentioned fequently, I'm writing my own comedy screenplay, and am about 20 pages in. I'm asking how many pages a screenplay usually is. I want to know, so that maybe I can condense what I have so far to make it a little shorter.

Usually a script runs anywhere from 90 to 120 pages. for a comedy I suggest 90- 100 pages. The shorter the better. Just not too short. Try and keep it at least an hour and a half long.

The average is that 1 page = 1 minute of screentime. This can obviously vary depending the amount of dialogue or action you have squeezed onto a page. So a 120-page script should roughly be about a 2-hour movie. :)

120's typically the norm. Anything more than that, and you're taking a risk.

One of my favourite quotes of all time.

Leela: Fry, you only wrote two pages of dialogue.

Fry: It took an hour to write, I thought it would take an hour to read!
