Super Smash Bros Brawl - Online Tournament RULES (SIGNUPS ARE OVER!)

Okay, after much discussion, the signups for the first Toon Zone Online Brawl Tournament are open. If you want to join, please read the rules first:

On Matches: All matches will be 1-on-1, 3-Stock brawls with no time limit. Whenever two players battle each other, they'll fight on a best-out-of-three system. i.e. if Player A and Player B have to fight each other, they'll fight one 3-stock brawl, then another 3-stock brawl, and one final 3-stock brawl. Even if the same player wins the first two brawl, the third one must be battled, this is due to the scoring system that will be explained later.

On Rounds: The tournament will begin with a preliminary round that will divide the players in groups. Each player will battle every other player in his/her group and score one point for every win. i.e. if P1 battles P2 and P1 wins the first two brawls but P2 wins the third, that's two points for P1 and one point for P2. But if P1 wins all three matches, it's three points for P1 and no points for P2. The best eight will pass to the next round and after that, it will be a process of elimination.

On Characters: Each Player is allowed to choose 3 characters from the Brawl roster that he/she will use for the whole tournament. A Player is allowed to rotate their characters freely between Brawls, even against the same Player. Keep in mind that Zelda/Sheik and Pokemon Trainer count as one character, but Samus and Zero Suit Samus count as two separate characters, so choose wisely.

On Stages: Each Player will choose 7 stages who will be his/her stages of choice. When two Players Brawl each other, the fight must take place in a Stage they both have as a Stage of Choice. During the Stage Select screen, each Player will cast a vote for a stage they have in common and let the game decide. In the event the players have no stages in common, then they'll vote for any stage in their lists and let the game decide.

Also, each Player can choose three stages that he/she would consider to be Banned from his/her fights. No fight will take place in a stage a player has banned, even if the other player has it as a stage of choice.

Finally, several stages are banned for all players, no exceptions. Here is a list of banned stages, which you must not include in your stages of choice and your banned stages:

- Warp Star
- Starman
- Hammer
- Golden Hammer
- Bob-Omb

NO LYING. We'll trust each other that you'll post the correct results. I want this tournament to work, but it can only work if everyone is willing to cooperate.

By joining to the tournament, you agree to these rules. No complaining afterwards.

The sign up limit is 24 players. No complaining afterwards that you didn't sign up on time.

The 1st Place Winner will be rewarded with a 500-Points VC game.

Forgive the questioning; I've never played in a tournament before. :DItem Switch is determined by Lottery, so I believe everyone must change the settings.

I don't really get why some of these stages are banned. Namely Corneria, Pictochat, and Mario Circuit. And I hate Rainbow Cruise, but that stage is even played at official SSB tourneys. And shouldn't the Deku Nut be a banned item too? I think everyone hates that one.
