If you had your way, and if any more stories WERE being written, which Bat-villain would you like to see appear in a BATMAN BEYOND movie?

I've given you a selection of classic Bat-villains and the BATMAN BEYOND villains. Have fun!

If you like more than one, then you can select more than one. So vote away! My two votes were for Two-Face and Blight. That can work...somehow...

Well, from your list the only villain, from B: TAS, I could see still being alive would be Clayface.

Can't we just get Mr. Freeze again?

I wanted to include a few more villains (MAd hatter, Croc, Firefly, etc) but just didn't think people loved 'em that much. Clayface would be cool, with the right story.

And no, I purposely left Freeze off the list again - I loved MELTDOWN but he had his shot at BATMAN BEYOND. I'm just happy it was such a success.

A reformed Catwoman and her out-of-control teen daughter. :)

A showdown between Batman and Blight would be the best way to bookend the series.

I had an idea for an "ideal" last ep of BB (that I posted in some thread somewhere), where Blight returns and kills his son for revenge, and then targets Batman. Somewhere along the way, Max Gibson does something stupid and gets killed by Blight, but only after accidently revealing Terry being Batman.

Terry gets so pissed off about Max's death that he is going to kill Blight, but Bruce warns him that if he crosses that line, that he won't be allowed to be Batman any longer. This causes a huge fight between them.

Blight, now knowing that Terry is Batman, goes after Terry's family by having his mother and little brother kidnapped. He tells Terry to meet somewhere where they can settle it once and for all.

After nearly getting killed, Terry gets the upper hand, and is about to kill Blight, but at the last second decides that he isn't worth it. Something happens that causes Blight to die, and Terry and his family ride off into the sunset. It ends with Terry and Bruce having a talk.

So what to you think?

Wow! A little bit of everything. I think you'll make a great story writer for Batman Beyond. Now, if only you can draw BB as well. That is so cool!

Blight and Two-Face. Blight deserves a return, but I'd also like to see an adaption of the Two-Face story from DKR.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Keep Blight as he is - slowly losing his mind and drifting off into madness (as he was in ASCENSION, not in the BB comic with his "return"), and he becomes part of Gotham's underworl which Two-Face, in his very very old age, has become a part of. (Two-Face will be reformed, a la THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS, but after a run-in with Blight, his face would be burnt off again and his inner-demons would return.)

This, of course, would be quite the emotional battle for both Terry and Bruce; and, as I've said in other posts, it would give a good opportunity for the writers to show my ideal showdown between Batman/Robin/Batgirl/Nightwing/Gordon/Two-Face - which would be set just prior to the flashbacks in ROTJ.

Blight, indeed. He's Terry's greatest adversery bar none, and his gradual decent into madness would make for a great tale.

As for past Batman villians... you know, I actually think that we got enough ties to the past with Talia/Ras, Joke, Mr. Freeze and Bane. Realistically, the vast majority of Bruce's Rogues Gallery would be dead or incapacitated by Terry's time.

The problem with Two-Face is that he'd be as old as Bruce. And, if I'm not mistaken, that's pretty old.

If Bruce were 15 or 20 years younger, that story may work.

The problem with Catwoman and her teenaged daughter is also age. In the BTAS and TNBA, Selina should have a teenage daughter. In Batman Beyond, she'd have granddaughters, unless she gave birth at age 50, which (and maybe I just don't know anything about women,) would either not work or would kill the mother and child. Not too many 50 year old new mothers out there, are there?

So I went with Blight.

The next BTAS villain to be on Batman Beyond should be Poison Ivy. I remember somewhere where she say that she ages more slowly than normal human.

Blight definately, however if we are voting for the villain from BTAS, I would go for the Ventriloquist. Great character, in fact THE best recent villain addition to the Bat universe (by a UK writer too - good old Wagner (Judge Dredd)!

But yes, a BB movie should deal with Blight - I think he part of the shows intial success and it would therefore only be logical to include him in a movie.
