Trevor Sands will write the script, who we know nothing about other than he's working on a various number of science fiction projects at various stages of developments.

At one point during the last few years, it was rumored Martin Scorsese was very interested in directing it. That'd be awesome if it was true though.

ILIUM I think is better fit for a movie adaptation.

That or Endymion's Saga.
