What is it with HIM? Why the long black boots? Why the feminine voice? Why the fur-trimmed red skirt-thingy? Does anyone have a clue on why HIM is so ... well .... freaky??


Maybe its all just an act. He tries to seem friendly and almost feminine, which leades the PP Girls into a false sense of security.

What do you guys think?

I've noticed that Him's voice, mood swings, and fuzzyness do have a precident; the head Blue Meany in 'Yellow Submarine.' I imagine the PPG creators added the androgynous look to set Him apart, and to make Him extra-creepy.

In my opinion, they succeeded.

We just had a thread a lot like this, but it took a turn the moderator didn't like- I think it's been deleted.

The creator said he wanted Him to be the devil, but since CN doesn't allow religious influences. I think he just represents an ultimate evil.....and the female qualities are tossed in to give it an even freakier look.

That's what I think as well. He's not merely flamboyant to me; he seems really, really creepy.

Well, I've seen HIM....I think the feminine stuff is suppose to be purposly cute and 'nice', which only makes it more evil on HIM. And yeah, it looks creepy as others said. Perfect thinking, actually-that's probably what HIM intended it to be.

...and after all, as Flanders said, isn't the Devil always "the person (thing, in this case) you least expect?" :D

--remind anyone else of Judy Tenuta? A high trilling voice that abruptly deepens into a guttural growl? Though I bet Him can't play an accordion like Judy....
