If you'll excuse the newbie for asking way too many annoying questions, does anyone know where I can get an Avatar? I don't have a scanner or anything on my computer yet. (Our old one isn't compatible. :(

If you don't have a scanner, you can either:

a) Request to one of the many talented Avatar makers around here an avatar that you'd like. i know some users have put them on web pages, some have posted them to forums (may require some digging) and others if you just send a friendly PM, they'll be happy to.

b) find a picture you love online, crop it down to 75x75 and viola! You've made your own avatar!

yeah, it's not hard to make em...I've got a site with some premade ones, and a how-to on making them, click "avatars" in my sig
