I've been wondering this for a while. I've started to like these 3 disc box sets, due to their low price and high episode count. 26 episodes for 30 or so bucks is pretty dang good in my book, even if it is a dub-only show. My question is, does anyone know how these sets are doing? Because i'd be crushed if the seasons that aren't out as box sets don't get them sometime. we have seasons 1, 5, and 6, with 2 and 9 announced. what are the chances of us getting seasons 3,4,7, and 8? I know it might take a while, but waiting a bit is better than not getting them at all.

They're selling well. I remember reading an article here at Toon Zone stating that in 2007, Pokemon was one of the highest selling anime properties in terms of DVD sales, and the only thing Pokemon-related release during the year was the seasons sets (and Movie 9, I guess). And if you look at Amazon's Bestseller List under Viz (http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/dvd/13989871/ref=pd_zg_hrsr_d_1_4_last), you'll see that four out of the top twenty of Viz's highest selling DVDs are Pokemon related (two of them are the box sets.)

So, I'm sure Viz will release all the seasons in box sets eventually.

Well, that's good news then. I figured they'd stop if they weren't doing well, but if they're doing that good, that makes me more hopeful for the others. Also, I haven't bought the season 5 and 6 box sets yet, but I will in about a month, after I finish moving, mainly to support the season sets (I already have all 3 season 1 sets).

They're starting to release box sets at a fairly steady clip, about every three months or so. That's not including the fact that they're going to start putting out box sets of Battle Frontier and, presumably, Diamond and Pearl along with them. That's a lotta Pokemon.
