We're doing some tests so please stand by :) We're trying to have this board stand out on it'd own, and Vince is doing a hell of a job helping us out. So, just a forewarning, there will be tweaking for the next little while on the board.

Why not something a little easier on the eyes? The old coloring was very nice, something like that would be perfect.

Singin' Stray Cat is doing the color scheme right now. She's doing a helluva a job. She's seeing what works best. And thanks. There are no Gundams. But, they are some other huge robots... :)

Whoa this was definitely a shock coming in for the first time. I gotta agree with Terminatah, it's pretty hard on the eyes right now.

Great background, but the blue and white links are hard to see against it. Might want to switch to red or orange for greater contrast.

I see MIB, Wolverine, Spider-Man, SpongeBob, Gandalf, Frodo, Zim, TMNT, Harry Potter, TWO Digimon pics side by side. Neat.

I like thsi theme too! but the nav buttons still have a red background... ;) but some of it is kinda hard to read... :(

Thanks! I had to make it darker unfortunately, because it was too bright before. But, I guess it turned out okay then. Okay, now that we're done for now. Let's continue this little contest. I think I'll split it into its own thread.

I think the background should be predominantly dark if the font is going to be light, or vice-versa. Notice the white text works much better on the aqua than it does on the gray. How come this board has to be so different from the others? It's a little intimidating because of how much it stands out. Almost like I'm inclined to post less. But I can see where that would be a blessing for the mods.

I just noticed that the difference between the AniTainment and the AnyGen board is literally day and night. Which is pretty darn cool, even if it is still a little hard on the eyes.

I quite like it still. However i do agree on the font colours. When they are placed onto of the back wallpaper, they do vanish....

Perhaps a less striking board is necessary if people genuinely feel it will affect their motivation to come here. Shame, I like a bit of diversity! ;)

OK, the board just changed to a lighter blue background and I think it's a major improvement. The only thing I might tweak now is the Aqua. Maybe to something a little more blue. But it's really come into its own.

The lighter background is looking really good, a lot easier on the eyes than before. The aqua isn't bad, but it seems to clash a bit with the background. It's not hard on the eyes or anything, but there's something a little off about it. Maybe something with a little more contrast might work.

You guys are doing a great job on this board, but I don't think the banner works with a transaprent background. The words don't show up very well.

The banner's being tweaked as we speak. We may have the final design down pat as soon as the banner is fixed. I must say - I really like this new look. After this board is done, expect a change on the AnyGen (need a new name!) board, too.

hmmm the NEWER changes are better.. but the light blue top doesnt match and neither do the maroon buttons... and you cant really read eth top image the ng is slow loading too...

Lookin' good, guys! Do you know how to lessen the green tint on these boards? I agree with Failure, it doesn't *quite* go with the blue background. Almost there... :p

I swear I just saw the purple parts as green, but it's back to blueish-purple! I liked the green, it provided a nice contrast.

This is the first time I've seen the changes (been away from computers :( ), I was a little shocked at first, but I think it's nifty. All the other boards I hang out on around here are the mainly black, with white text so this is a really cool change for me. :cool:
