I used to collect comics back in the late 90's. Now, I'm looking to sell out my collection and I'm wondering where is the best place for selling it.
Should I go with eBay or are there better ways to dispose of my collection?
Whenever I want to sell anything of value, I always eBay it. You usually get much more than you would at, say, a comics shop.

And if they're unsellable, see about giving them to any libraries in your area.

I doubt my collection would be unsellable. They are virtually all Near Mint quality (I admit, I read 'em all. Never bought a comic to put it on the shelve) Plus, I own various complete series and many "#1". I never liked buying singles unless I really dislike the story.
About that, should I try to complete some of the series that I own before I try and sell them?
I've already check the prices for the items I lack, and they aren't very costly (worst is worth about 4-5$ US). Does it help the selling price or makes them easier to sell?

I'm of the opinion that comics should be bought more for entertainment and less for profiting purposes.
As for them being first issues, it has been said that many of the comics that were put together in the 90s for the sole sake of becoming a collector's item have failed to actually be valuable (with exceptions such as Spider-Man and X-Men). Depending on some of the issues you have, some of them won't raise that much in value for a long time.
Infact the reason why comics from the 30s and 80s tend to have more value is that they were produced with weaker material than the comics of the 90s and up. Thus many were mishandled and fell apart, thus decreasing the number of available copies.
Now if you're looking to make a modest amount of money off them, I suppose they'd be sellable.

I know comics from the 90's aren't worth much. I'm not trying to raise a fortune out of selling them, I just want the price worth the trouble of shipping them... with the exception of maybe 1 or 2 numbers I own, which -are- worth something.
But, what about complete series? Is it worth to buy the 2 or 3 numbers I lack in a series? Or would that be a waste of time and money?... aside from finally figuring out some stuff I had missed, of course.

I guess if you can find the other issues in the bargain bin and make over 5 dollars for them, then it wouldn't be a waste.
