Hello, I'm the Dark Spider. I browse all the Toon Zone forums from time to time, even though I make the Toonami forum my home. I'm a lurker here and I am kind of amazed at all the information of various classic shorts that come from you guys. I just want to know how each of you came to possess such knowledge. Its just amazing here.

I've actually been hooked on cartoons since I was six. I got interested in the Road Runner cartoons and wanted to learn about them, so I pick up a copy of "That's All Folks!" from the local library (YES, THIS WAS WHEN I WAS SIX), and learned to love all of the cartoons, and wanted to collect them all.

A few years later, I got interested in the MGM cartoons, mainly Tom & Jerry and Tex Avery, and Popeye, and started to collect those as well.

I used to love watching Woody Woodpecker back in the summer of 1997, I looked foward to it everyday, but then it was cancelled. I thought I never would see Woody and the gang again, until last summer I found a Woody video for $5 (forget which one) and wanted more of the Lantz cartunes. I was doing tape trading by this time, so I got interested in these films.

The Harveytoons are another story. I always heard how violent Herman & Katnip were, so in one of my trades, I got a whole mess of them, almost the entire series, and they were pretty gruesome.

And that's the story of my animation life! :) :D
