figured someone would've posted this by now:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-03-28/blue-dragon-moribito-to-run-on-america-cartoon-network
i honestly don't know much about this series, but at least Adult Swim is trying something different.

The article just says Cartoon Network for Seirei, not Adult Swim.
May just be a mistake, though (or John Sirabella included AS under the CN umbrella in his post). Still, is it more AS-worthy?

from what little i've seen, it's definitely not a Toonami show.

I had never heard of this show until now, but it looks interesting. Well at least a Media Blasters title is airing on AS(well, it was Geneon's but well... we know what happened).

I think it could be edited to Toonami's standards (conceptually, I really need to check out the first episode or two) but it probably wouldn't look pretty.
This pretty much confirms that there the dub will stay, though.
I hope it gets a run on Jetstream or Video however it lands.
I'm definitely excited now, though. It's great to see a non-toygetic anime get a run.

So I guess AS isn't done with anime just yet. That's a good sign. I wiki'd the series and I don't see any indication of what age group it's for.
This comes across as pointless in the face of recent news. I could see it going to Toonami if need be.

Awesome. I've heard a lot of praise for this show, and it seems like it's actually worth-watching, so I'm pretty excited for this. Though, it doesn't strike me as the typical [as] anime. But that's probably a good thing, it's always great to see some variety.

You know, I'm kinda surprised at the tepid response this show is getting.
Also, this has not been confirmed for Adult Swim, just CN in general. I would like to request moving this thread to general Cartoon Network until we know where it's going to air.

Agreed. Until more specific news comes out, it'll be on the CN forums.

Question, when Adult Swim usually acquires a show, do they use the Adult Swim name in the press release or do they use the cartoon Network name? Honestly, I'm really curious about this show and hoping it'll end up on Toonami.

Thanks. I think it just makes more sense at the moment.
We'll probably have absolute confirmation at the Upfronts.
And as if the upfronts couldn't get here any sooner...
Either way? From the [Japanese]trailer (http://youtube.com/watch?v=waSwndpzFSU)?
It's something both [adult swim] action needs and Toonami.
So either way it'd be cool.
EDIT:
But I get a kinda Champloo feel from this.
Somewhat even mature in my opinion.
I'd pull towards adult swim with this.
Plus female lead? On a Toonami series?
Last time, we saw that was whaa?
Sailor Moon!?
Ha.
There was that Stan Lee movie that aired a while back but yeah.

I believe when Blood+ was first announced to come to the network, the article (or press release, not sure which) just said Cartoon Network. And it ended up on AS, obviously.

This article is different though. If you read it, it says Blue Dragon and Seiri no Moriboto are coming to CN while Shin Chan is getting an additional 26 episodes on Adult Swim. The article also says the Cartoon Network Network and the Adult Swim Network.

If this show is good and gets a full run I'll accept One Piece being lost. I won't forgive CN for that, but I'll accept it.

I've heard about this , it's supposed to be really good.
I'll have to give it a look when it comes to what ever part of CN it's airing on.

We'll see...if it's got a good enough storyline with good characters, sensible humor and not too many fillers (and not a Yu-gi-oh!,Pokemon' or Naruto rip-off) I'll watch it.

It doesn't seems like any of those shows. If you want to know more about it, the Wikipedia article is pretty informative. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seirei_no_moribito

If Scholastic has the novels I would have my doubts about Adult Swim running it. But I can't hardly believe Toonami would play something so different but I welcome the change if it's true.
