Obviously, some administrator deleted at least 14 of my posts. How do I know? When I search for all my posts, there are only 597 results. I know those weren't recent posts, since all of today's and yesterday's are still there.

So, what old posts are gone, and why?

It may have to do with the recent AniGen split. We moved a lot of old posts into a new, hidden location where we could sort through them, to put them either on AniTainment or AnyGen. That forum is "private," and the software may block you from pulling them up when you do a search, but without altering your current "post count."

But I don't know for sure.

In all actuality, probably none. There isn't a mod here who would delete one post, let alone 14 of them, without issusing a warning. (and if you had 14 deleted, I doubt you'd be still around to read this! ;) ). Here's what it is: the posts you make on the test board and the feed back board do not count towards your post count that appears under your avatar. But they will show up in your total count of posts when you search for your posts cuz that is the actual number you have posted. Follow me? I have not looked at all the posts that you have made, but I am guessing 14 of them are on boards that do not add to your post count under your avatar.

PS-If a mod deleted a post, that number would be subtracted from BOTH your number under your avatar and the number in your total number of posts when you search for all your posts. A deleted post will be exactly that....gone for good, and not count in either place.

That would also do it. Since regular members can't see a hidden board, they would not have access to see those posts there for a while, and their numbers would be off kilter. That is more probable what happened in this case than what I postulated.
