Yea, I think it would sweet if Cartoon Network's sister channel start showing classic Animes like Astro Boy, and.... that one with the kid and the giant robot. Even if I don't have that sister-channel, I think it would be a good move for CN to put classic anime on Boomerang. What do you think?
p.s.Sorry if put this topic in the wrong place, it was the classic cartoon thing in the descprition that fooled me..

You never heard of at least Astro Boy? All forms of cartoons had to start from somewhere.
Astroboy was an old TV show from the 60s, I heard it's very good. Those who watched it usually have fond memories of it.
I quickly did a search for it, here's a site that popped up: http://www.zip.com.au/~astroboy/
I think the topic sort of fits here, most people consider classic animation to be most anything made before the 70s. Discussions of Jay Ward, H-B, and other TV cartoons haven't been discouraged even though theatrical cartoons are the main focus of this group.
You may also want to ask people at the AniTainment board about this, it's sort of up their alley too.
and welcome to the boards!

Speed Racer is a likely candidate, since it was on CN all of the time. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if it was already on the schedule, but I can't check since the Boomerang schedule is down right now.

There hasn't been any sign of Speed Racer on Boomerang.. or any other cartoon series that isn't owned by Turner/WB (nothing like Rocky & Bullwinkle or The Pink Panther).
I will make a post in a few minutes about what Boomerang's current schedule looks like. I haven't done that in awhile.

There is a rich and diverse library of classic dubbed anime. Unfortunately, much of it has been lost, or is in limbo. Among the shows I'd like to see on cable are:
Kimba, the White Lion (great VHS release from rightstuf.com-- wish they'd shop it to TV, so more people could see it)
The Amazing Three (originally W3 or "Wonder 3"-- the adventures of a boy, his secret-agent big brother, and their three alien friends, disguised as a duck, a rabbit, and a horse)
Tobor, the 8th Man (aka 8 Man - badly animated, but still fun secret agent/superhero fare)
Prince Planet
Princess Knight
Gigantor
Marine Boy
Those are just a few TV series. There's also a large number of long out-of-print movies, like Gulliver's Travels Beyond the Moon and Animal Treasure Island.
