Shrek crossed the $200 million mark last night, becoming the first movie in 2000 to do so. The movie is expected to remain until August at the elat, grossing another $60 mill, possibly. Also, After 5 days, Tomb Raider has grossed $60 million. That movie is expected to tap out at $140 - 50 million.

How does Shrek's gross compare to other Disney movies of the past ten years or so?

Shrek is obviously on it's way to becoming the most succesful animated movie of all time, but what I don't know is what animated movie has grossed the most money? We all know it's Disney but which film?

I'm thrilled for Shrek and for animation in general. Movies like Shrek are just what we need to nudge animation into the adult market! This movie is going to get minds rethinking toons both within the industry and out in the viewing public--it's about time!

Yeah, I've heard it's Lion King, followed by Toy Story 2. I forget how much Toy Story 2 made, but I remember hearing that there were chances that Shrek could surpass it.
