The Strongest Soul Reaper! Ultimate confrontation between teacher and student

Last time: Rukia's execution began and right when she thought she was done for Ichigo came and saved the day. Renji still badly hurt from his battle with Captain Byakuya shows up to save Rukia also. Ichigo throws Rukia to Renji and tells him to run which leads to Ichigo facing of with Byakuya..

Today: Captains Ukitake and Kyōraku get in trouble with the Squad 1 captain Yamamoto for helping Rukia. Oh and to make things worse Captain of the second squad Soifon is ticked of big time and will destroy anybody that gets her even more angry.. can anybody stop her?

Finally! Ichigo and Byakuya start their long awaited battle! And it looks like Ukitake and Kyoraku are going against the head captain? Wow. Then it's obvious that Yoruichi is about to take on Soi Fon.

Long waited battle comes with Ichigo vs. that monster Byakuya which Ichigo waited for this day to totally crush him for his cold-heartedness on Rukia.

Yamamoto the old guy who's the big boss captain is really strong next to Master Roshi, Genkai, & Sarutobi of all the strong old people who's got incredible power.

Yoruichi the catgirl vs. Soi Fong is my most favorite girl battle which I'll be looking forward to it.

Shunsui sounded a little different than usual I thought. Or maybe I just haven't heard his voice in awhile.

He sounded different to me as well, like he had a different VA. I'm not an expert on these things, so i can't say, but i know his voice didn't sound like it did last week.

Overall, this was actually a nice eppy for setting up the fights that are going to happen. Two captians verses old man Rosh.....erm, I mean, old man Yama, Catwoman verses Soifon, and of course, the battle we won't see much of, Ichigo verses Rukia's Bro.

my prediction, lots of blood spilled, and who knows, maybe someone will die (not a spoiler, just my prediction.)

Yeah they're jerks and defintley going about it in the wrong way but that dosen't mean they're villians. After all they're just following the laws set down about executioning prisioners and going after the ones who ruin/get in the way of that. Really it's interesting if you think about it how it shows you which Captains can't see above the law to know when it's wrong and some people just see absolute justice in following the laws. The 1st, 2nd, 6th, 7th and 9th are more for the justice of the laws. 8th, 10th and 13th about going past them in a just cause. 11th and 12 uh really dont' seem to care about the law. 3rd is creeply evil. 4th... hard to tell actually. 5th... oh right not around so hard to say really. From what we KNOW NOW though probably about going past the rules to not follow them though.

Well it was the same VA but the pitch was a bit off at times. Don't know why really. Maybe they rushed through parts of reading this episode that they shouldn't of. That's the only thing I can think of.

To recap, Kenpachi is helping the "ryoka" (aka Orihimie, Chad, Uryu and Ganju) to the execution ground to help save Ichigo . Since this goes against the absolute rules of Soul Society though, the 9th captain Tosen and 7th Captain Konohamara (the beast looking guy) and they're lieutants went to try and fight them. So while Kenpachi's men go after the lieuntants, Kenpachi himself fought the two captains. Tosen was defeated by Kenpachi so now Konohmara (who in addition to the rules is probably POed at Kenpachi for hurting his friend) is alone fighting Kenpachi though you didn't see any of that here. Hope that answers your questions.

In case you haven't been paying attention, this episode was mainly there to set up the fights to come that may or may not cultimate the arc. At the very least though they should be good (and don't you say anything for those who saw them) but let's go over what we got here to look forward to.

1. Ichigo Vs Byukua: Well this has been set up before from Kuuichi having taken him out so easily at the start of the arc and then the first time Ichigo actually tried rescuing Ruika. Still after seeing Ichigo own the captains again (though with not as great music from last time. Big fan of "Number One") they're battle starts off with some rather uh... statements on Byukaua saying he still plans on killing Ruika (insert jerk alert) and Ichigo going to stop him (insert hero alert). Though all that amounts to is spirtual pressure colliding it still should be good. But we've got other bouts to go through as well.

2. Soi Fong Vs Yorouchi: No one can accuse Soi of going back on her word on going after anyone who betrays the 13 court guard squad, even wimpy little not even assistant captains. Though luckily the two 13th squad members are saved from the second squad captain by Yourouchi. Yeah her finally making an appearence. Guess though she's still trying to hide somewhat only taking off her mask when she's alone with Soi Fong. So why is Soi so surprised to see her anyway? Guess we'll find more on that later but it looks to be some good girl on girl action which should be some fun stuff. And if that wasn't enough we also got

3. Yamamato vs Shuushi and Ukitake: Well I think the song said it best, "Now We Know He's Number one". Which here would be talking about Yamamto. I mean just looking into Nanoe's eyes nearly collapsed her and if he's enough so that two captains wouldn't stand a chance then that obviously has to count for something. Oh yeah, and he's apparently quite ripped and has a sword that can burn through anything. That's some other reasons this looks to be a good battle. Though it's mainly just talk of "I thought you guys were so righteous but you're not" and "let's stop talking but continue blabbering on delaying the fight" here. Well all the fights have been talk so far but this is the most noticable since it gets the most focus here.

Besides that we also got Ruika being told to stop being so emo miss blames herself on anything and Unohana saving the others and wanting to go somewhere. Makes for a pretty good episode. Though if you want to see someone fight really this isn't the one for you but hey that's what the next ones are for right?

I thought it might have been different, but I just checked around online and there's no news on a VA change. Kind of odd. He didn't sound bad or anything, but just...unusual? Not as deep.

Though, I found it soo cute when Shunsui ran to help Nanao after Yamamoto scared her like that. He kind of cradled her in his arm. wee.

If it wasn't for Ukitake of coolness, I probably would like the Soi Fong fight better. Ahh I'm so frustered that they don't show the Shinigami Guides. I can't help but continue to be bothered by it. The both of them have such hilarious scenes, expecially Soi Fong valentines day skit.

After how much effort has been put into showcasing Bankai I doubt we'd see it upfront like that. So yeah that's her first stage of sword release, not second. Considering that her Shikai is that huge, although it might just be for healing, it looks as if it could be powerful, so if Unohana is one of the one's that has the ability of Bankai, I wonder how powerful it would be.

Well you can't really determine it's power until you actually see it in action. I mean obviously flying and healing around people is useful but that does not show how powerful it is. Nor does it show what it would actually do in a combat situation. Aftearll the size of a sword's release does not determine how powerful it is. And also remember that Kenpachi Zaraki is the only Captain not to have a Shikai or a Bankai, which means all the other captains do, so Unohana does have one. What it is would be another question but she does have one.

Toshiro....he and his lieutenant (Rangiku) are off elsewhere right now...it should come up within a couple episodes....he's more concerned with Momo and the circumstances of Aizen's death than what's happening to Rukia...
