Hey guys. I've been watching "The Batman" lately on Boomerang, and the episodes are over in 20 minutes. They air commercial free, but do have little "bumpers" in the places where commercials would be, and they air at 11:30 sharp, and end at 11:50.

I thought most cartoons were 22 minutes, but it seems like they are under 20. Does Boomerang edit them at all? It doesnt seem like it, but I find it odd that they are actually under 20 minutes.

I think I noticed the same thing about JLU the last time I watched it on Boomerang, but I'm not sure. I suppose I can check my JLU dvds, but does anyone know why we always say they are 22 minutes? Whats the deal here?

The only thing I can say is, some episodes are 20 minutes long and others are 22 minutes long. It's safe to say that all 30 minute programs on tv run around 20-something minutes without commercials. I don't really see anything odd with it.

I guess its not odd, but it just seems so short. "The Batman" is literally done in 20 minutes flat, and thats including the bumpers and opening and closing creidts, so the actual episode is even less than 20 minutes.

But you gotta love Boomerang for airing them commercial free.

I've been watching Batman Beyond lately and I notice the episodes only go for about 20 minutes, maybe a little but over. But then after watching Teen Titans episodes I find they go for 22 minutes, guess it depends on the show.

20 to 22 mins...it varies.

I don't watch CN much lately, and those Boomerang bumpers don't help much. They are making terrible choices for programming over there.

On the DVDs, The Batman is usually just hitting 20 minutes when the credits roll. As for JLU, most episodes end at around 24 minutes. Also give or take a minute for different episodes; some just need the extra time.

It really depends on the show, but all cartoons round up to about 22 minutes.

It's because The Batman/Batman Beyond, etc, were on Kid's WB, where they usually take about 3 to 4 commercial breaks during the show these days. More commercials = more green. The episodes *seem* longer when Kid's WB/CN airs them because they cram enough commercials to bloat them up to 30 minutes.
