Ok, I haven't seen loads of Smallville though I love it. I want it on DVD but can't afford it at the mo so I just catch it when I can. I've been watching season 6 I think at the mo, when the Justice League starts to form. I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is there going to be a future appearences of a Young Bruce Wayne/Batman in later seasons? If there is no word, do you think it would work and would be interesting?

No he's not going to show up Batman isn't allowed to show up on the show because of the Bat-embargo

The producers of the show originally wanted to include Bruce Wayne in a season as a family friend to the Luthors, via money. During the episode/ season, he would have turned into Batman and helped Clark out. The Bat-embargo prevents them from using Batman, or other Batman characters, because they are the main focus in other DC movies, and they don't want more than one Batman being the focus at a time. The idea for Batman was used last season with Green Arrow.

There's probably someone that can explain this better than I can, but I'll take a shot at it(And again this is just my take on it).

Basically Warner Bros thinks that the fans are stupid and don't want to many versions of the same character in media outside of comics, becuase they think that the fans will get confused. When the The Batman appeared on KidsWB , all the the bat-villains, Joker,Rider etc were banned from being showed on Justice League Unlimited as was referring to Batman as Bruce Wayne(I still don't understand that one) , Bruce Wayne was supposed to have shown up on Smallvile a couple of years ago but once pre-production work started on Batman Begins, that was put to a stop as well.

There's also something about Wonder Woman not being able to appear on any show were she's not the main character, but again I don't have all the details.

Personally I think that this is both stupid and insulting to the fans and casual viewers , when I was a kid I was a big fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at the time I'd never read the original comics and when I saw the movie I wondered where Krang and Bebop & Rocksteady were, but I accepted it as a different universe than what I was used and I still enjoyed it. Warner Bros. needs to accept that the fans are alot smarter than they give us credit for. I don't mean to sound so negative about this but ever since I first heard about this thing I've thought it was the silliest thing I've ever heard of.

Since The Batman is over for sure and the batman movie premieres in the summer, would there be a legal chance of Batman appearing in smallville season 8?...

I really don't know the numbers (in terms of movie/animation popularity), but is it fair to say that WB considers Batman their "biggest" superhero property? I remember when the live-action Justice League first came up, the word initially was the Warner wouldn't let Batman be in it because they considered him too big to "waste" on an ensemble project. (That of course changed, if it was in fact ever true, and Armie Hammer is slated to play the Dark Knight last I read.)

God I hope not. From what I know( and wish ) he wont show up for legal reasons and creative ones. It would really be treading old ground with what they did with Arrow.

I've heard it heavily implied that season 3's Adam Knight (a play on Adam West, Dark Knight) was supposed to have been Bruce Wayne, but the idea was nixed at the 11th hour and they had to go a different direction. If you watch Adam's initial appearances, he seems to be a renaissance man with a mysterious background, fitting for an eventual Bruce Wayne reveal.

It's weird, because now WB insists on giving us nothing BUT different versions of the characters every time they appear for a few minutes in animation (through the DC Universe line).

Bruce Wayne appeared in Epilouge and Doomsday Sanction. Wonder Woman and Zatanna refer to him as Bruce in the show... Bruce Wayne definatly wasn't considered to be a part of the embargo.

Oh. My. God. They think we're that dim? (ok I may have just proven with my above question that I am but nevertheless). Just because the same character is used doesn't mean it all has to be connected, if it was it would be more confusing because alot of the 'general public fans' (not comic book followers) would not watch everything and would be more bewildered if they only caught like the film, and would miss out points from the series so it would make more sense to keep them independent (besides the basic history). I mean geeeez.

I hope the Bats does get involved, I think it would be really insteresting epscially because of Supes and Bat's connection. Also it's annoyed me that they did a justice league in Smallville with no Brucie and Diana, wasn't it the big three who put it together? Or have I got my wires crossed?

Anyway I hope WB changes their mind, I don't care if I am being a biased Batfan. I like the show of Smallville and I would like to see Batman in something like that kind of show rather than just an Adam West thing or animated.

I hope they get permission to put in a just a little mention/gag with Bruce Wayne before Smallville ends (a la Wonder Woman in the second episode with Jonathan Taylor Thomas), because it'd be a shame if there wasn't anything.
