Yo Joe A No Go?!?

This may seem a lil ike a comics question...but its really a cartoon question so i thought it should go here. anyways, I picked up a copy of the New GI Joe comic by image and i was wonderin....why dont they play GI Joe on TV anymore? Does Hasbro still have the rights and if so why the hell aint they playin them on tv no more.....Im sure someone would wanna pick them up. Maybe Toonami or a Canandian Channel...someone better cuz i really miss that show reminds me of my child hood.

Sunbow owns the rights to the television series. There's a rumor that Cartoon Network acquired the Sunbow library, but this has yet to be confirmed. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Sunbow - I remember them, they did some quality stuff back in the day. GI Joe on CN - how amazing would that be? Now if they could just pick up He-Man, She-Ra and Transformers they could run a complete 80's nostalgia block that would include Thundercats. Hmmm.....with the new Turtles in production is there any word on who owns the old series? Maybe CN could acquire this to if it was up for grabs. I would also be in favor of them finding a way to purge Gargoyles from the absurdity that is Disney. If they could pull off a heist of this nature I'm sure we would see a new Gargoyles series :D

Or did I dream that? Has anyone else seen one? It had a lot of CGI and seemed to be done pretty well. It had a lot of the old characters like snake eyes and the cobra commander. The commander's head looked all shiny with the CGI.

Is that right? I couldn't tell if it was for a show or toys. If it's real it looks pretty cool, if I dreamed it, I hope the dream was prophetic. That and I should get a better grip on reality.

It has been generally airing in the afternoons between 3-6pm on CN. For everyone that hasn't seen it yet......

so they do still play it on tv....thats weird. Damn now i wish i hadnt cancelled my satelite in which i had CN.....If i had known that i wouldnt have. Do they play it between 3-6 eastern during the week?

Oh also ....do u know if they sell the old episodes anywhere?

No, he's talking about the promo being on from 3-6. The series is NOT on the air right now.
