I found on a english dictionnary a definition of the word "dubbed". Here's are the definition:
Dubbed to fit a new soundtrack to (a film) (often with "in") to add (sound effects) to a television program etc.
What do you think for this definition? :D

If you are referring to the fact that it does not jive with the Turner "dubbed" cartoons, then yes, this is questionable. It can also mean duplication of a tape, and I think that's why the projects were called ''dubbed'' versions. From what I am told, they 'dubbed' the footage of each cartoon from an original AAP reel, then 'dubbed' in new effects like lightening, darkening and color adjustment. It worked for some, and sucked for others (like "Hiss and Make Up" with a blue cat).

I believe I read somewhere that the "dubbed" in the disclaimer on those pre-1948 end titles also refers to the Spanish-dubbed audio track (which would be used on those cartoons when shown on Cartoon Networks elsewhere in the world).
