Posting the question in another thread talking about Wonder Woman, but then figured I'd get a better chance for answers here.
Basically the Wonder Woman embargo began I guess decades ago since she did make an appearance in The Brady Kids and the Ruby Spears Superman cartoon. But, the policy I heard keeps her from appearing in a show unless she is the title character or at least part of the main cast. Even Wonder Girl was unable to appear as a guest star (in Teen Titans for the reference).
All it seems to do is reduce the chances of the character appearing in other medias.
