I'm talkin' 'bout the one that's narrated by that, that 6 1/2 year old boy...and... with the pre..preschool-drawing animation and then that, the kid was was imitating all the characters and then Computress and, and then Dexter said...... :yakko:
Yup...THAT episode. What was with that?

You didn't like that one??  Hell, It wasn't that bad. It was conceived of and narrated by a 6-year-old kid, for god's sake! The fact that he alone (with a little help from his mom, bless her heart. :D ) did that is an amazing feat, IMHO. As for the preschool drawing, I felt it went along perfectly considering the author's age.

Actually, a few years back, Cartoon Network had a contest for children to tell a story about "Dexter." The winner's story became an episode, IIRC.

Heh.. about the only thing I like about that episode is Dexter saying over and over again, "You are so Styooooooooooopid!"

Well... I thought it was a good episode...
The kid had apretty good imagination and almost could reproduce both Dexter's and Mandark's voices.

Wow, the other entries must of been pretty crappy for THAT to win. :p The only good thing about that episode was the kid reproducing Dexter's and Mandark's voices.

Considering a six year old made it, it was a good episode. :yakko: :wakko: :dot:

I never said I didn't like it. I loved it's randomness. :)

It's one of my favorites too. I just like the weirdness of it (all those Mandark heads!) and just the way that they just took the idea of a kid telling the story and took it to the extreme. It always amuses me to hear the kid say "And then Dexter said...and then Mandark said" It's just so typical of kids, and sort of a parody of the way in which kids act.
As for the unique style, like dendawg, I agree that it complemented the story perfectly. I don't think that the story would work as well in the normal style.

I liked it at first, but the way CN has a tendency to play Dexter over and over, it just gets a little stale. Then again, I always get a laugh out of Dexter's odd looks when the narrator trails off on completing a line for him. :)

Well at least the creaters like to try new things. And randomness is always good, I'll give the episode that.
I loved how the kids mom would come in and go "Then what happened" or "What did Mandark say?" That was the funniest part :D .

And, of course, my fave line from that short:
"You are STUPID! You are STUPID! And don't forget...."YOU ARE STUPID!!" :D :D

"And Mandark's head was as big as the world-no, it was bigger than the world-no, it was big as the world, and Mandark's head exploded!*snickers*"
I love that one, because it is just so-can't resist-STOOOOPID!

The animation, as crude as it looks, is very original at least. And it's hilarious... it contains the perfect example of a kid's imagination and innocence.
