View Full Version : Do you think it's smart for Marvel to reveal Wolverine's Origin?

Wolverine's origin has been a mystery ever since he first appeared with in the Hulk comic.

Whether or not we want the origin to be revealed is the question. Sure, it might be good for sales, but do you think that it will kinda decrease Wolverine's history of being mysterious? I admit, I am looking forward to his origin, but now that I think about it, Wolvie's not that much mysterious anymore. I think Marvel should've kept some his origin a mystery, just a little to make readers hungry for more.

Thoughts?

I think that this could actually help the character out quite a bit. At many times it almost seemed like some of the writers have focused so much about Wolvie's past that every adventure he took dealt with a "new, unknown" foe - but of course Wolvie knew him from his long forgotten past in the civil war, or in World War II or as a showgirl in Vegas.

While I haven't picked up Origin (waiting for the TPB) I do hope that they do the character justice and it just doesn't become yet another false memory implant or everyone in the Marvel Universe starts calling him James over Logan or something like that.
