I really need to do these more often, but here's my list. I dumped New Warriors since I realized it was utter crap. No idea why I was getting it to begin with. I'm glad I'm not an Iron Man fan or not easily hooked by one-shots of books I like. One shots really seem stupid since they really mean nothing to the main title and will more than likely never be mentioned again. It's kind of annoying how New Thunderbolts falls back on them and now X-Factor is getting one as well.

I'll be picking up:
Amazing Spider-Man #558: A stand alone issue? Well, it'll be nice that they won't always stick to the "every writer gets 3 issues" routine...and Barry Kitson on artwork! Sweet!
Amazing Spider-Man #559-560: More Dan Slott goodness! And hey, Marcos Martin on artwork!!! He was cool in "Dr. Strange: The Oath"...
Avengers: The Initiative #13: Hey, I thought Christos Gage was co-writer, yet here Dan Slott's name is taken off the credits alltogether?!?
Avengers/Invaders #1: YES!!! Alex Ross returns to the Marvel Universe!!! Well, at least he's doing covers...
Captain America #38
Daredevil #107
Fantastic Four #557
Ghost Rider #23
Guardians of the Galaxy #1: Oooh, more sci-fi "Annihilation" style goodness!!!
King Size Hulk #1: This just sounds plain awesome!
Giant Size Incredible Hulk #1: Yeah, I'll get this one as welll, but uh...why release two "HUGE SIZE ONE-SHOTS!!!" in the same month?!? Oh yeah, because there's a Hulk movie coming out...
The Invincible Iron Man #1:Why would they release a second Iron Man title?!? Oh yeah, because there's an Iron Man movie coming out...
Iron Man: Director of SHIELD #29
All New Iron Manual #1: It's...just another handbook. Unfortunately, I long ago vowed to collect all of the Handbooks...
Secret Invasion #2
Might Avengers #13 and 14
New Avengers #41: You know, if they will keep the "Secret Invasion" tie-in's confined to the Bendis books, I'll be pleasantly surprised...
Secret Invasion: Fantastic Four #1: Well, so much for keeping the story confined to the Bendis books...
Captain Britain and MI:13 #1: Another Secret Invasion tie-in, but this could be fun...
Incredible Hercules #117: Skrull Gods?!? Okay, that sounds cool...
She-Hulk #29
Nova #13: My pick for the "awesome cover" for the month!!! (http://www.newsarama.com/marvelnew/May08/main/nova13.jpg)
Thunderbolts: Reason in Madness (one-shot)
Young Avengers Presents #5
Uncanny X-Men #498
X-Men: Legacy #211 and 212
X-Factor #31
X-Factor: The Quick and the Dead #1: Looks like we get double the Peter David goodness this month!!!
Cable #3
X-Force #4
Young X-Men #2: Um, wow. As far as cheesecake covers go, Terry Dodson is still the master (http://www.newsarama.com/marvelnew/May08/main/yngxm002.jpg), but why are Magma and Dani Moonstar villains?!?
Wolverine: The Amazing Immortal Man and Other Tales (one-shot): Just plain fun!
Logan #3
Wolverine #65
Wolverine: Origins #25
X-Men: Divided We Stand #2
Punisher #57
War Is Hell: The Flight of the Phantom Eagle #3
On the "maybe I'll get it, maybe I won't list:
Sky Doll #1: This is supposedly a French comic, being brought to America for the 1st time. Going by the cover alone, it looks...unique.
Iron Man: Viva Las Vegas #1: I think I've just about reached my Iron Man limit...
Marvel 1985 #1: It sounds like a fun concept, but if that cover is anything to go by, the interior artwork looks...yucky.
The Last Defenders #3: I still have no idea what to make out of this book...
Kick Ass #4: Still undecided about this one...

My comments:
- The jury's out on Sky Doll until I can find out a bit more about it. My experience with Eurocomics has been pretty hit or miss. Lots of them are really pretty, but a lot of them also just make no sense at all.
- This is a really funny cover (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview2.php?image=solicits/marvelcomics/200805/ASM_560.jpg) to Amazing Spider-Man #560.
- Show of hands -- who thinks Avengers/Invaders is the way they're going to bring Steve Rogers back?
- I love Alan Davis (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview2.php?image=solicits/marvelcomics/200805/CLANDEST004.jpg)
- The solicitation text for Power Pack: Day One #3 is pretty amusing. Also nice to see Colleen Coover getting more work with Marvel.
- Bwah-hah-hah-hah (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview2.php?image=solicits/marvelcomics/200805/FRANKR010.jpg)!
- So, Rocket Raccoon is going to come back into a monthly series. I keep threatening to pick up Annihilation books because of him, and I'll probably threaten to pick up Guardians of the Galaxy because of him, too. Whether I ever DO it remains to be seen.
- Oh, Frank Cho...know you no restraint (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview2.php?image=solicits/marvelcomics/200805/KSHULK001.jpg)?
- Didn't Jim Cheung just do this cover (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview2.php?image=solicits/marvelcomics/200805/IMVEGAS001.jpg)?
- Woo! Jeff Parker is back on Marvel Adventures Avengers! I'm buying in digest, but still.
- What wonderfly said about Young X-Men #2.
- OK, true believers, here's the $10,000 question. Is Joss Whedon's Runaways run worth a hardcover?
- Definitely picking up Iron Fist: Seven Capital Cities of Heaven HC, though.
Hmmm...that's 2 HCs and maybe a single-issue as far as pre-orders go this month.

Considering how heavily it was pushed last month, it seems like Secret Invasion hit the back-burner this month.
Getting
-Ultimate Iron Man II #5
-Captain America #38
-Franklin Richards: Not So Secret Invasion
-X-Men Origins: Colossus: I don't read X-Men, so I have no idea what they've done with him, but it's a one-shot, so why not catch up?
-Runaways: Dead End Kids HC: I've been getting Runaways in the HC Collections, so this ones a lock for me.
Looks like I can grab the Young Avengers/Runaways TP now, too. I held off in case it was in the next HC, but it's not, so looks like I can.
May Get/Not Getting But Worth Note
-Marvel 1985: Sounds interesting. May wait for the trade.
-Ultimate Spider-Man #122: Cover of the Month right there. Very cool shot.
-King/Giant Sized Hulk: Two Large Descriptions Enter, One Leaves.
-New Avengers: Illuminati TP: It seemed like a fun mini. I'll browse it, and if it looks good, grab it.

Looks like I can grab the Young Avengers/Runaways TP now, too. I held off in case it was in the next HC, but it's not, so looks like I can.
I wouldn't be in any real rush to get it. I bought it after finishing my re-read of the Vaughan Runaways HCs and Young Avengers. It's mostly OK, but nowhere near as cool as either source series. Suitable if you're really jonesing for a fix of either team, but not much there to really write home about.
Also worth pointing out that the new Runaways HC is not oversized the way the 3 Vaughan-era issues are. This one's just a standard-sized HC. At the speed Whedon works, it'll take 3 years before he's finished enough issues to build up one of those bigger HCs :p.

ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #122 - Omg, I'm not going to spoil the guy's name here [even though anyone who reads this title knows who that is], but that truly is cool / hilarious!
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #558
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #559 - I really like that Ed McGuinness cover (http://www.newsarama.com/marvelnew/May08/main/asm559.jpg) for some reason... it just has a great feeling to it.
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #560 - And this cover is even better! I also love when they get all mysterious and hypey[?] in these solicit texts, even though the actual happening often doesn't measure up ;)
SPIDER-MAN: WITH GREAT POWER
AMAZING SPIDER-GIRL #20 - Brand New May? Whu-!?
AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE #13
DAREDEVIL #107 - Cool cover (http://www.newsarama.com/marvelnew/May08/monday/dd107.jpg).
FRANKLIN RICHARDS: NOT SO SECRET INVASION
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #1 - Cool, I'm picking this up purely for nostalgic reasons and hopefully it'll be fun... because this title is one of the first comics I read on a monthly basis - together with the Spider-Man books - in the early '90s :)
KING-SIZE HULK #1
GIANT-SIZE INCREDIBLE HULK #1
MARVEL 1985 #1 - So this is finally coming out? When was it first announced...? I'll be picking up at least this first issue, out of curiosity.
SECRET INVASION #2 - Old costumes on the cover, ey? That's kind of Skrully in my books.
MIGHTY AVENGERS #13-14
NEW AVENGERS #41 - If they were actually planning that far back for Secret Invasion, I'll be impressed. If it's just a retcon, well...
SHE-HULK #29
THUNDERBOLTS: REASON IN MADNESS - Oooh, Norman VS Venom, can't wait!

Graeme McMillan poses the valid question whether Sky Doll will make it to the US uncensored, (http://io9.com/357911/is-sky-doll-too-hot-for-america) but given the fact that it's not a title that the average Marvel fan knows about and is the kind of thing that makes a nice, sensationalistic headline, I have little to no confidence that they won't edit it for American shores. Beyond the silly quasi-historic discussion in the comments thread, it's described as something like Battle Angel Alita crossed with Chobits, which does exactly nothing to explain anything to me, but might mean something to more people here.

I'd probably get just the new Captain America issue. It's like high quality comic book crack.
