Hey all. Whats your favorite single episode of each Timmverse series. I know you may have multiple favorites, but if you could only pick one? These shows are ofcourse BTAS, STAS, TNBA, BB, JL, and JLU (and TAOBAR if you like). For JL you can count the 2-parters and 3-parters as one "episode". For 2 or 3-part episodes of other series, you can either count them together or seperate, its up to you and how specific you want to get. But try to pick one episode or arc for each show. Dont give a whole list of episodes, we know we love them all, but try to pick one per show.
So, whats YOUR personal favorite of each series?
BTAS: Heart of Ice.
TAOBAR: Robins Reckoning
TNBA: Sins of the Father
STAS:Apokolips..now!
BB: tie between Rebirth and The Call
JL: Starcrossed (favorite episode from the DCAU ever!)
JLU: The 2nd season 4 part finale!
Honorary mention: Epilogue
Favorite DCAU Movie: The Return of the Joker (uncut)
Is that enough?! :D

The topic says "favorite" so that's what I'm going to list, I'm not saying these are the 'best' episodes, just my favorites.
B:TAS- His Silicon Soul, I really enjoyed the idea that the will of the Batman identity was so strong that overrode the HARDAC programming in the end.
TNBA- Growing Pains, Few Timmverse episodes elicit quite the emotional punch this one does when Annie chooses to rejoin Clayface. (Apokalips...Now! Pt 2 is an ep that does eclipse this one emotionally. I wholeheartedly acknowledge that.)
S:TAS- Legacy (part 2 if I have to choose), "I am many things Kal-El, but here I am God." Need I say more.
BB- Meltdown, Micheal Ansara gives a performance I really believe rivals or exceeds Heart of Ice and that new Freeze armor is cool!
JL- Hereafter (both parts together), I love that this arc is all over the place and the way that Savage seemed to actually evolve as a character in the end.
JLU- Double Date- Clever, funny, and touching all wrapped up in stunning animation.

Most of my picks are so universally acclaimed, that I doubt they'll stir much notice at all...
BTAS: Almost Got 'Im
TNBA: Over the Edge
STAS: The Late Mr. Kent
BB: Meltdown
JL: A Better World
JLU: For the Man Who Has Everything
Movie: Mask of the Phantasm

I haven't seen every episode, and with JL and JLU I don't feel comfortable picking just yet. I want to see the whole series first, and right now I'm still on B:TAS.
B:TAS: Mad as a Hatter, I just identify a little too much with Jervis in this one. I'm pathetic, I know.
BB: Disappearing Inque Same deal, I identify with Macy's character.
TNBA: I haven't seen all of it, but I can't see anything topping Over the Edge.
S:TAS: Again I haven't seen everything, but Apokalips...Now! was just shocking. I can't see anything from S:TAS topping it.

Ooh, this is fun.
B:TAS On Leather Wings
Perfection on the first try
S:TAS Knight Time
They took a could be crappy concept and made it really entertaining.
TNBA Over The Edge
The definitive DCAU episode to me, overrated or not.
Beyond Out Of The Past
I know I'm a superstitious cowardly lot.
JL Injustice For All
I just really liked this.
JLU Dark Heart
A bunch of superheroes fighting a bunch of robot spiders. (Grudge Match would be the runner up ;))

B:TAS : "Showdown" is probably my favourite.I know I could have chosen "On Leather Wings","The Demons Quest","Trial","Perchance to Dream","Trial" or "I am the Night" among others, but this one had elements of the series and of another DC hero.I loved how they pulled it off.
TNBA : "Mad Love" beats Out "Over the Edge" by a punch. It was Dark, comedic and thrilling - What every Joker story should have.It basically summed up TNBA, in my opinion, and this is one of the first episodes I would show someone if he/she wanted to watch the show.
S:TAS: "Apokolips...Now! :Part II" has it all.The first time you actually see Superman Go crazy. It really took the series to a different direction and made it darker. It had great action,Great story, great setting and lots of wonderful touches to the episode.
BB:"Rebirth Part II" is probably my favourite because it really just showed you how great the series would be.I wish every episode had this kind of tone especially most of the episodes in Season 3.
JL:"The Savage time" really impressed me with its amazing story.I loved how you see all these great heroes all through the 3-parter and the great action they had.I also loved how Vandal Savage replaced Hitler and the Nazis and created something worse.
JLU: "Epilogue" really doesn't need an explanation for why it is my favourite.I just loved taking a look into the future of the DCAU and seeing the end "mirror" the first episode of the DCAU (even though this wasn't the last episode".Really good episode.
My favourite movie is "Batman:Mask of the Phantasm".I don't need to justify why its my favourite.

My Favorite DCAU episodes (Hey BT isn't the only one who worked on these shows) ;)
Batman The Animated Series: "Almost Got 'Im."
Superman The Animated Series: "Knight Time."
The New Batman Adventures: "Legends Of The Dark Knight."
Batman Beyond: "Eyewitness." (Mad Stan Is The Best Villain Ever!)
The Zeta Project: "None." (Never Saw This Show.)
Static Shock: "Fallen Hero." ( Even Tho I loved Almost Every Episode.)
Justice League: "War World." (I love all of the episodes, but this episode is awesome)
Justice League Unlimited: "The Once and Future Thing." parts 1 and 2, (Tho pretty much hated this show.)

Batman:TAS - Perchance to Dream
TNBA - Over the Edge
Superman:TAS - In Brightest Day...
Batman Beyond - Meltdown
Justice League - Starcrossed part 3
Justice League Unlimited - Epilogue
A lot of those only barely made the cut though; it's so hard to choose.

BTAS: Bullet For Bullock - The episode oozes atmosphere and style beyond all others and I find, like Blade Runner, its great for a chilled out evening with the rain splattering against your window.
TNBA: Mad Love - It's a dull choice to be sure, but its violent, plot driven and emotionally tangible. Love it. Madly, I guess.
STAS: The Late Mr Kent - Dull as dishwater choice again - tension, humour and a great ending.
BB: Over The Edge - you can't beat the thrill when the BTAS music kicks in with Bruce and Terry kicking out in unison.
JL: Legends almost made it, as I love the humour and finale of that story, as did the poignant and brilliant "Hereafter", but I think I have to pick Starcrossed as it is one of the few "feature" length episodes which carries enough drama and punch to justify its duration. I especially love part 3.
JLU: As a whole episode, either "The Greatest Story Never Told" for its hilarity, "Grudge Match" for its fast pace and art direction, or even "Patriot Act" for its showcasing of courage from those members we rarely consider "real heroes". "Epilogue" could win merely for the Ace subplot. Doomsday Sanction is very consistent episode. But I think "Divided We Fall" for its drama and break neck pacing.

B:TAS- The Demon's Quest. This introduced a very powerful villain and was very interesting, because of Talia's problem. She didn't know who to serve. Batman had a nice fight in this episode, as well as some good detective work.
TNBA- Sins of the Father. A very nice plot. A cooler design of Two-Face, and a very powerful introduction of a new Robin.
S:TAS- Legacy. Simply brilliant.
BB- The Curse of the Kobra- Cool episode which had Batman face assassins. I know I can elaborate but I am too lazy.
JL- Wild Cards. Nothing can beat this one. Joker made this hilarious!
JLU- Divided We Fall, this was very cool and had tragic moments.

S:TAS- Legacy (part 2 if I have to choose), "I am many things Kal-El, but here I am God." Need I say more.
Pretty much took the words out of my mouth.
Batman: TAS- "Heart of Ice" Cliched choice, sure, but this really is the finest of the series, at least if you ask me. Everything that needs to be said about the ep has already been said, so I'll end it at here.
TNBA- "Mad Love" I love "Over the Edge", too, but I've had more of a sympathetic feeling with Harley's origin than with Barbera's crazy dream.
Batman Beyond- "Out of the Past" I haven't seen too much of BB in recent years, but of the few eps I've recently got the chance to see, this one stands out the most. Finally Bruce gets to see Talia again, even for wrong.
JL- "Twilight" I guess I'm just a sucker for the Supes vs. Darkseid brawls, is all.
JLU- "Epilogue" Just recently getting into JL, I've only seen a few eps of JLU, and this, with "Destroyer(2)" just a step behind, is undeniably my favorite of it, at least for now. The ultimate Beyond series finale, as it should be.

BTAS: Heart of Ice.
TAOBAR: Robins Reckoning
TNBA: Sins of the Father
STAS:Apokolips..now!
BB: tie between Rebirth and The Call
JL: Starcrossed (favorite episode from the DCAU ever!)
JLU: The 2nd season 4 part finale!
Honorary mention: Epilogue
Favorite DCAU Movie: The Return of the Joker (uncut)

Okay, I added TAOBAR to the list as an optional choice. It was technically a new show, and it allows us to pick an extra episode, but A.J., "Robin's Reckoning" is a BTAS episode, if i'm not mistaken.
Ok, so I'll do mine now:
BTAS: Two-Face part 1
TAOBAR: Deep Freeze
STAS: Legacy part 2
TNBA: Over the Edge (this was a hard choice)
BB: Shriek
JL: Only a Dream (the only downside was no WW)
JLU: The Once and Future Thing part 2
and since people have been adding their movie choice:
Movie: Mask of the Phantasm

I'll make my JL and JLU picks after having browsed the descriptions on the WF talkback threads. I post these with the disclaimer that I didn't yet see most of season 2 JL and a good chunk of season one and all of season three of JLU.
JL: Metamorphosis narrowly edges out A Better World (one of the few Season 2 eps I was able to see,) just because I kind of like Metamorpho and his animated origin.
JLU: Task Force X I was lucky enough to see the entire Cadmus ark, and I missed out on almost everything else. I loved the Cadmus arc, but it was so serialized, that I'm having a hard time breaking it down episode by episode in my mind. So I picked Task Force X because I really dug the Dirty Dozen feel behind the episode and the concept. It's really hard for me to overlook the appearance of Jonah Hex and the other Weird Westerners, a return to my much beloved Batman Beyond universe, and the massive hectic three episode climax, but until I get to view them all on DVD, I'll stick with this choice. (Like I said above, I'm still on B:TAS.)
Movie: Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker I like MOTP, but I don't love it.

The topic says "favorite" so that's what I'm going to list, I'm not saying these are the 'best' episodes, just my favorites.
Just for fun, I'm going to put my favorite (subjective) and best (objective) answers.
BTAS:
Favorite-Fear of Victory.
Best-Tie: Two-Face pt. 1/ Heart of Ice
TAOBAR:
Favorite-Robin's Reckoning pt. 1
Best-Robin's Reckoning pt. 1
TNBA:
Favorite-Holiday Knights (I became immediately enamored by the new style with this episode)
Best-Over the Edge
STAS:
Favorite-Legacy pt. 2
Best-Apokolips..now! pt. 2
BB:
Favorite: Rebirth (in full)
Best: Rebirth (in full)
JL:
Favorite:Comfort and Joy
Best: Starcrossed (in full)
JLU:
Favorite:Can't remember the name of the episode, but Supes vs. Marvel
Best:The entire CADMUS arc, the greatest run in all of the DCAU
Favorite DCAU Movie:
Favorite-Mask of the Phantasm
Best-Mask of the Phantasm

ACTUALLY--- the more I think about it, didn't Robin's Reckoning originally air as part of the B:TAS timeslot as opposed to the Batman/Robin Adventures?
If so, I'd change my best to "Second Chance" and favorite to "Riddler's Reform"

Several people are listing Robin's Reckoning as a TAOB&R ep...it's actually a pretty early B:TAS.

Several people are listing Robin's Reckoning as a TAOB&R ep...it's actually a pretty early B:TAS.
I was just about to point that out. TAOBAR is generally considered to be the final 20 episodes of B:TAS - episodes 66-85 ("Sideshow" to "Batgirl Returns"). "Robin's Reckoning part 1" was something like episode 32...
Since I didn't choose them before:
TAOBAR - Harlequinade
Movie - Return of the Joker

Fav and best? Nice yet simple idea!
BTAS:
Favorite: The Cape And Cowl Conspiracy - It's just got a great twist at the end which I have always enjoyed watching play through.
Best-Tie: Heart of Ice (it's just so well directed/written/produced)
TAOBAR:
Favorite - Bullet For Bullock
Best - Bullet For Bullock (Perfect from the BTAS era)
TNBA:
Favorite - Mad Love
Best - Over the Edge (simply because it a complex and intelligent dovetail of ideas written for the show, rather than adapted for the show as with Mad Love)
STAS:
Favorite - The Late Mr Kent
Best - Apokolips..now! pt. 2 (because it does was the box says it should, with a big shock at the end to boot).
BB:
Favorite: Out of the Past
Best: Rebirth - It's a final start to the series with a decent pace and wealth of new characters that really does help conjure the relevant settings for the series.
JL:
Favorite: Starcrossed
Best: Hereafter - Because it's intelligent, well paced, with a great balance of drama, character moments, action and a dab of humour (good old Lobo).
JLU:
Favorite: Divide We Fall
Best: Epilogue - a wonderful dovetail that celebrates all that is DCAU with pathos and maturity.
Favorite DCAU Movie:
Favorite - ROTJ
Best - ROTJ wins out over MOTP. For me, the Joker end finale of of MOTP never feels quite befitting the subtlety of whole film, so it loses out to the more consistent action packed, character driven, pun quipping, fan twanking, ROTJ.

Sorry but are you talking about "Out of the Past"?
Yep. I've edited that mistake. I go into the details of that choice in the post previous to the one you have referred to. Just a typo! :)
Batman :TAS - Read My Lips - Brilliant animation, an outstanding script and a wonderful tone - Batman at his best.
Honourable mentions: On Leather Wings, Joker's Favour, Robin's Reckoning
TAOBAR - Second Chance - The best episode the DCU ever produced.
Honourable mentions: Riddler's Reform, Showdown, Make 'Em Laugh
Superman: TAS - Mxypiliated - The funniest episode of the DCU ever, odd considering how straight they played this version of Superman
Honourable mentions: The Late Mr. Kent, Apokolops Now!, My Girl
Batman Beyond - Out Of The Past - A great story for old man Wayne and some nice bits for Terry. Solid story.
Honourable mentions: Rebirth, Eggbaby, Disappearing Inque
Justice League - A Better World - Evil Superheroes are awesome.
Honourable mentions: Starcrossed, Tabulsa Rasa, The Secret Society
Justice League Unlimited - Divided We Fall - If they'd have ended the DCU here, I would've been more than satisfied. It never got bigger than this.
Honourable mentions: Double Date, Epilougue, Destroyer

Okay, these are hard decisions, but here goes...
B;TAS-Heart of Ice-Classic episode, the perfect motivation for a villain and extremely tragic. Kinda like Batman's tragedy which I suppose probably makes the episode work all the better.
Other B;TAS favorites-Showdown and Almost Got 'Im
TNBA-Old Wounds-Great episode, pretty sad that it comes down to that, love Batman's character development in this one. Also an angry Dick Grayson makes the episode all the more intriguing.
Other TNBA favorites-Over the Edge, Mad Love, Meltdown, and Legends of the Dark Knight
S;TAS-Apokalips...Now! Part 2-This episode is so packed full of action, plus the Superman's loss at the end really completes the episode.
Other S;TAS favorites-Legacy and The Late Mr. Kent
BB-"Rebirth" Part one and two-Can't decide which episode is better. Terry has a fantastic origin and these two episodes really make Bruce Wayne's story and nostalgia all the more interesting.
Other BB favorites-Out of the Past, Eggbaby and The Call Part one and two
JL-Starcrossed Part three-Awesome episode. The friction between the characters is a lot of fun and works well. Again, sad way to end a series.
Other JL favorites- Wild Cards, Legends, and A Better World
JLU-Divided We Fall-Loved the way everything in "Cadmus" ultimately led to the Lex/Brainiac battle.
Other JLU favorites- Gotta give a shout out to Epilogue, Destroyer, Question Authority, and Clash
Favorite Movie: Its close, but Mask of the Phantasm wins this one, with Return of the Joker in a close second

Man, what a great thread. Geeks can't resist "Best Ever" or "Top Ten" polls, from what I've seen. So as a diehard Timmverse fan, here goes:
Batman: The Animated Series: "Beware the Gray Ghost"
Superman: The Animated Series: "World's Finest" (Parts 1-3)
Justice League/Unlimited: "Hereafter" (Parts 1-2)
Movie: "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm"
There are so many honorable mentions to be given out, too, though. Just a few being "Heart of Ice," "Only a Dream," "Comfort and Joy," "Shadow of the Hawk," and "Ancient History" to name a few. But I had to make some tough choices, otherwise where would the fun be?
