What an idiot. I really have no sympathy for people who like to brag about any crime and get caught because of it. So for that kid to basically confess and present the evidence to the entire world, makes me really hope the judge is tough on him.

But this does bring up the interesting subject of people doing stupid crap just to be noticed on the internet.

For some reason,I have a feeling Mr.Jack Thompson will have his share of words over this. -sigh-

More than likely. But he has nothing to base his argument on because it could have been any other board considering it has nothing to do with games. But then again, GameFaqs does have a lot of weird people on their boards.

Wow! I really don't even take people on GameFAQs seriously though, but this is just weird. Though it is weird for me to see an Admin on that site do there job for some reason.

I wonder how old this guy was?

Yea, i just go to Gamefaqs to say something and im outta there. I know the people on that site, and it wouldnt surprise me you do get some crazy people on there.

But seriously, what was he expecting to get posting that he burnt down a church? Welcome? Respect? Compassion? A pat on the back? He got a hard lesson that people dont praise him for the way he thinks people would have praised him.

Why do people ask others to make desisions for them?...

I have only one thing to say, but I don't think the filters allow it...so I'll just post this image and leave it to your imaginations.

Uh, no. This has no real connection to a video game system or video game of any kind, let alone one that would suggest that this kid was inspired by video game violence.

If anything, the crusade will be directed towards... internet message boards. :crying:

Look good job Gamefaqs! Blow the whistle on that nutcase because he's surely either desperate for attention in a mentally unbalanced way, or he's desperate for attention in a criminally insane way.

Oh god, do not say that.

Toon, yeah, GameFAQs has very strict moderation. Hell, I asked a question about DMC4, even put spoilers in the topic title, but because I said the boss' name, I lost 3 Karma points and the topic was deleted. LAME!!!

I don't think I can forgive anybody that defaces holy property (such as a baptist church). And having the gal to mock Christianity. I've seen some ridiculous topics. But none as this harsh in the years I've visited GameFAQs.

Hades was just joking guys. It got a laugh out of me.

The kid who did the chuch burnings is obviously not intelligent though. If he wanted to brag about it online, he should have posted it on one of the Chans where he has the security of anonymous, along with everybody there just not caring.

The fact that he uses a site like GameFAQs suggests that he plays video games. I mean, I'm sure there's at least one game from Take Two that allows you to burn things.

This one time, I posted an interview with Sean Schemmel on their anime board, and it got deleted for trolling. I asked in their form how it was trolling, and their mod responded "What does this have to do with anime?" This was before the forms allowed you to respond more than once, so I never got to point out that Sean Schemmel is, in fact, an anime voice over.

So I went to the help board, complained about it, and eventually got warned because there was a rule against complaining, or something. I'm like, what the heck?

This is why I try to stay the hell away from the forums there, It a good website for helping you with a game, but bad manners over there.
