Peyton Manning and Tony Gonzales have two catches on their first drive, and the AFC is quickly out to a 7-0 lead. The NFC is currently responding though after a fake punt has allowed them to move down the field.

If you somehow forgot, that Tony Romo guy is pretty good. He spreads the ball to Peterson, Owens, Fitzgerald, and Witten as the NFC ties the game up 7-7. Of course, if it wasn't for Devin Hester's good return and Nick Folk's extra point, then the AFC could very well have the ball again ready to go up 14-0.

I disagree with it being the worst of the all-star games. Most of the Pro Bowl's I've watched or heard have been dull during the first half, but the fourth quarter is almost always exciting. The first quarter was pretty entertaining during this All-Star game. Manning and Romo distributing the ball to everyone on the field got me to watch the whole thing. The AFC attempted an onside kick, and the NFC succeeded with a fake punt. It's entertaining whenever you wish to see one strategy prove to be the better.

Worst all-star game? I think you meant the NHL All Star game that might even get cancelled, lol. Baseball > Basketball > Football imo.
On topic, 28-27 NFC so far just into the 3rd quarter. Looking like a real blast.

The back and forth action is continuing to entertain me. The NFC was able to strike just before Halftime, and they scored on their first possession of the second half. The AFC has been forced to three straight FG's. Isn't that the same thing that cost the Chargers the AFC Championship?

Terrell Owens and Adrian Peterson are both putting on a show. They both have two touchdowns, and they each have over 100 yards in their areas of specialty. The big question is which of these two will win the Pro Bowl MVP award? Their efforts have helped the NFC seemingly win the Pro Bowl.

Darren Sharper has just picked Derek Anderson, causing the AFC to have their first turnover of the game. It has sealed the deal for the NFC who has won the Pro Bowl, despite 3 turnovers.

With the second most yardage for a running back in Pro Bowl history (129), and 2 touchdowns, Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings is this years Pro Bowl MVP. Congratulations.

No, the NFL has the WORST of them all. It's anticlimactic. It's like the last day of class, when Finals were completed weeks ago. But don't take my word for it: http://youtube.com/watch?v=gHUqz8YXG9Q

Now if were talking about in terms of Popularity (which is how all-star games are rated im guessing) then the Probowl is not the worst. The NHL is given that title.
All Star games are suppose to be exhibition games man not "all out, give all you got" games. There for the fans to be able to watch there favorite players compete against others. The reason the NHL is the worst All-Star game is because no one cares about the sport..thus why no one would go out of there way to watch it, in thus making there all star game the least popular

Okay. Did you...seriously just post a link to a video of JIM ROME to back your argument or was it just to say you agree with him about the whole "last day of class" bit? If so, seriously. Good job. Not that I'm trying to be mean, but don't try to back anything up using Jim Rome. He's just as obnoxious as Stephen A. Smith. He thinks raising his voice and pausing between every other word makes people listen to him more. That's why people make fun of him and do impressions of him, btw.
Either way, I still disagree. The Pro Bowl may not be the "best all-star exhibition game ever", but it's definitely much better than the lolNHL All-Star game. They still want to cancel it. The only reason the Pro-Bowl is in trouble now is because it's contract ends next year, but I'm sure they'd like to renew it back in Hawaii or else players definitely would lose interest. There were quite a few dropping out this year, but it was a tough year. Tom Brady/Randy Moss were tired/sad over their Super Bowl loss and probably wanted to cry over it. (I know it's not the real reason, I just like poking fun.) Brett Favre was just tired and has to go into his two month long stint trying to decide if he wants to come back or not, etc. My point is, it's still popular among fans and players.
I understand if you want to give opinions, but don't state it's the worst and act like it's fact. Get some real proof next time instead of bringing Jim Rome into it. Thanks. As a sports fan, I'd appreciate that much respect.

I guess it's also why he's the biggest sports radio name in the world? I respect your opinion but don't ever compare Rome to Smith. If you think Rome is anywhere near as bad, you've probably heard about 5 minutes of his show. And you probably heard it back in the mid-90s when he still brought up the infamous "Rat Family". Oh and his take on the Pro Bowl is also dead-on. Though it is fun at times.

No, that's been my opinion for years, even before I stumbled across Rome's radio show a few years back. It's just a boring game. Perhaps if they played the game during the regular season there'd be more...heart. The PB is just a big blah. I don't generally follow hockey but I try to catch the Stanley Cup each Spring. I don't know anything about the rumors of cancelling their all-star game. Where did you read this rumor?
The PB is just a big blah. But thats every all star game. The thing is NFL is way more of a contact sport then baseball, basketball and even hockey. To have it in the middle of the season would be dumb...more chance for your star players to get injuried. Having it at the end of the season makes the most sense.
Even at that..yeah the NBA has it in the middle of the season...but all that is is just high scoring and dunking. There isnt any more heart in that game then in any all star game. I mean thats whats funny about your post....bascially all All-Star games are just high scoring affairs with no defense and stars just showing off there skill. I mean...Baseballs All-Star game ended in a tie once. Now thats bad. IMO i think all the all star games are eh...not anyone of them being any worse then the other.

But the Pro Bowl still stinks because even taking all that into consideration, they still go at maybe 30% if they even bother to show up at all. NFL players are far more concerned (and probably rightfully so) about not getting hurt than winning, and more importantly in an exhibition game, entertaining the fans. The NBA is bad too, but not nearly as lame as the NFL. I don't expect every all star game to have a Pete Rose/Ray Fossey moment, but at least they actually try to win in MLB's.
Also, just because Jim Rome is obnoxious doesn't mean he's wrong. I've found its often the people with the best points have the worst way of making them.

Well I have to say that was definitely an entertaining pro bowl for me. The NFC pulled out some amusing trick plays in the form of the fake punt pass. Also, Tony Romo reminds us why he's so fun to watch with his patented scramble-escape-TD routine he's shown viewers so often in the regular season. Adrian Peterson was tearing it up and between him and Hester, its amazing how much speed the NFC had.
The AFC needed to just stick Manning in the whole game as Big Ben's production started to teeter off. Derek Anderson while having a great season with the Browns, was far from being what the AFC needed during the final quarter. I actually remember during the game one of the announcers commenting on how much depth the QB position had on the AFC side. Honestly, I thought the NFC was in a better position for QB.
I'm glad the NFC won the SB and PB, it's about time. Play of the game was Jason Witten catching a pass from Devin Hester out of all people and running it back to the 50. It didn't score points, but it was just something you never thought you'd see :)

The AFC had no chance once Peyton Manning left the game. Manning looked sharp while Roethlisberger and Anderson were mediocre. Roethlisberger always seems over-rated to me, though. Plus, the AFC apparently had no running game because they rushed the ball less than ten times the whole game! And this was despite the fact that they were leading 24-7 at one point.
On the NFC side, I never understand why Romo is considered so good. Every time I see him play, he looks average. He under- or over-threw his receivers several times and barely completed over 50% of his passes. His interception was the result of over-throwing his receiver, too. In comparison, Matt Hasselback's passes were all right on target. He only had two incompletes but they were both in the receiver's hands. The NFC probably would have caught up sooner if they had taken out Romo after the first quarter. Even Jeff Garcia played better than Romo.
Adrian Peterson had another great showing. He deserved the MVP a lot more than Terrell Owens, who really benefited from the modified game rules. If the AFC had somehow won the game, I would have picked either Manning or Cromartie as MVP because they were the only highlights for their team.
I was entertained by this game. I always like to see a close match in the Pro Bowl because the players start making more of an effort in the fourth quarter. I also liked seeing the NFC run a few trick plays. I was surprised that the AFC didn't pull anything besides the onside kick. Maybe the AFC didn't practice any, though.
I know some of the rules are modified but are teams allowed to go for two after a touchdown? I would have thought the NFC would try for two when they went up 34-30.

Alright, NFC. I seems like the AFC has won the Pro Bowl the last few years. It sure seemed hopeless early on, but those guys kept it together.
Not much to talk about this game since it’s just supposed to be fun.
