or maybe something else like Airline pilot, or wall-street stock trader

something where its not quite so easy to just dissapear!

Superhero cops? There's John Stewart and "John Jones" (Martian Manhunter), so that's covered....
Maybe a superhero store owner...rob his place at your own risk.
