I was watching my tape of The Last Son Of Krypton the other day and noticed a problem w/ Jor-El's plan to save his planet's inhabitants. He planed to put everyone in the Phantom Zone, then transport them to earth, where they would all be released. But then we'd have an entire planet load of Supermen :o ! He already knew what the yellow sun would do to a Kryptonian, so he must have seen this coming. Any thoughts?

What's the problem? The plan seemed fine for Jor-El, who was only trying to save his race from extinction. Why care about the people who were already there? He didn't know them.

Besides, he probably had other things to worry about, like the planet exploding. :wakko:

From what I've seen, Krypton wasn't as big as Earth, and most of it's inhabitants lived in that one city.

I'd say that he was probably too worrried about just trying to save people then how they will do with Earthlings once they landed on Earth. Although, since he was such a nice guy, he probably figured that they'd fit right in and perhaps hide what they could do, or at least use it for good? A whole bunch of Superman/woman...well, if they didn't go evil on us, would a whole bunch of them be so bad?

Here's my question, if Jor-El knew what yellow sunlight did to Kryptonians, wouldn't he develop some sort of suit or such device to give Kryptonians super powers on Krypton?

Well, i only brought it up because Jor-El seemed to express concern over Kal being responsible w/ his powers. He told him to never use his powers for evil, or something to that effect.

I guess i just figured that it would be highly possible for there to be about as many Kryptonians who used their abilities for good as those who would for their own gain.

Especially those Old Farts on Krypton that did'nt Listen Jor-El in the First place. For an Advanced Race, they had some REAL idiots on that rock. No wonder they blew up, they could'nt handle they're own advanceness.

NOT THAT US HUMAN'S CAN EITHER! :wakko:

The problem was that they trusted a machine completly, without a lick of discretion.

The problem is developing yellow sunlight, or at least enough of it to give even one person Superman-like powers for any extended period of time.

As for the topic at hand, I'm sure they'd be able to control themselves. There were obviously enough good people on Krypton because it succeeded in being so advanced (no small part of the Phantom Zone, which they could just bring to Earth).

But if you can take away Superman's powers by covering him in red sunlight, then I'm sure the advanced civilization of Krypton could do the opposite with yellow sunlight.

But back to his plan, he was probably more concerned with saving the Kryptonian people than with making sure the people of Earth were ok with his plan.
