After the Royal Rumble (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=204686), SmackDown looks pretty much the same, Edge is still the World Champion and Ric Flair is still an official part of the roster. As SmackDown makes its way towards No Way Out on the Road to WrestleMania, there is no set challenger for the World Title as John Cena of RAW won the Rumble.

February 1, 2008

Edge may have escaped Royal Rumble with the gold around his waist, but the Rated-R Superstar's lover, General Manager Vickie Guerrero, wasn't so lucky, as she was injured while trying to help Edge avoid a 619 during the match. Friday on SmackDown, the World Heavyweight Champion Edge will team with ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero to take on Rey Mysterio & CM Punk in tag team action. Rey & Punk both will be looking for retribution against the tandem of the Ultimate Opportunist and the ECW Champion, and it all goes down this Friday night. Will Rey Mysterio & CM Punk find success going against the "Guerrero family" or will the golden duo of Edge & Chavo continue to roll on?

Ric Flair’s fate was in his own hands on Sunday night, as his career was on the line at Royal Rumble. The “Nature Boy” was victorious over MVP, defeating him with a Figure Four Leglock. MVP tapped out, and the legend’s career continues. This Friday night, however, the Ballin' Superstar will have another chance at ending Flair's livelihood when the two have a Royal Rumble rematch in a Career Threatening Match. Will MVP find a way to defeat Ric Flair and send the 16-time World Champion to the sidelines, or will "Naitch" keep his impressive streak going with his career on the line?

In recent weeks, Undertaker has been in the crosshairs of the largest duo in WWE – Big Daddy V & Mark Henry. Last week, Undertaker proved to be more dangerous than ever when he used a move nobody had ever seen to incapacitate Big Daddy V, prompting Henry to claim Undertaker had "gone too far." The Phenom will look to turn up the heat even more this Friday on SmackDown with the help of his brother, the Big Red Monster Kane. What will happen when the Brothers of Destruction reunite to face The Most Dominating Force in WWE & the World's Strongest Man?

Also, on next Friday’s SmackDown, will we find out Michelle McCool’s condition, after her supposed best friend Chuck Palumbo’s actions caused her to be taken away in an ambulance? Doctors said she may have suffered a concussion. But what is the status of the even more strained relationship between Jamie Noble and Palumbo, considering his meltdown on Friday? And finally, what Superstars will carry momentum from Royal Rumble into the SmackDown arena?

Find out the answers to all these questions and more on SmackDown, Friday at 8/7 CT on The CW Network.

So Smackdown will determine who faces the champ (most likely Edge) at mania by yes having an elimination chamber match with Batista, The Undertaker, MVP, Finley, Great Kahli and Big Daddy V wrestling/

RAW has the advantage based on the wrestlers. Still they could've had Orton/Cena at Mania and just had 1 elimination Chamber match for Smackdown. 2 elimination chamber matches seems like overkill.

That was one of the worst Smackdown segments in ages. Both Chuck Palumbo and Michelle MCCool are two of the people in WWE that I wouldn't mind getting wished well in their future endevaors. Palumbo with his awfully acted rage, and MCCool with her awful acting.

Overall, a decent Smackdown.

Holla, holla, holla! Teddy's in charge again, and in reality, it should stay that way. Vicki Guerrero was out of line with her actions at the PPV, and they could've gone in that direction by having her "suspended" for misconduct. Way I see it, Edge won't be champ after Wrestlemania anyway, and once he loses the title, Vicki should be dumped as well. They need to correct the booking mistakes in this angle.

The Edgeheads actually had a 2-on-2 match and won. Why was it against Moore & Yang, though?

For lack of a better term, let's call Undertaker's new submission finisher a figure 4 choke until they come up with a funky name for it.

Eve Torres debuts. Man, talk about hot.:D :D :D :D

Teddy only has the one segment, otherwise I'd have booked it that he'd strip MV-Me of the US title for refusing to defend. They're stalling for Matt Hardy, but shouldn't have to. It devaluates the title. I'd suspend the Most Vacuous Poser now for what he did to Flair tonight.

Deuce & Domino have fallen on hard times. Why?

Wouldn't Chuck Palumbo fit in with those guys? Certainly looks the part, except for sounding too much like Adam Sandler with his promo to make it mean anything.

Because apparently they love to build up a tag team only to tear them down later

Anyone want to count the days until we see Finlay and Hornswaggle as WWE Tag Team Champions?

You're telling me that with all the people that have history with Edge, those are the ones they put in the Chamber? I mean, come on! It writes itself! Even if you take out Mysterio to face Edge 1-on-1, we've still got:

-Batista (never really beat Edge)
-Undertaker (Edge took his title)
-CM Punk (Edge took his title)
-Kane (put Edge on the shelf, cost him is title)
-Chavo (beef with Punk, Edge's backup, match needs heels)

That's 5 of the 6 right there. For the last heel, still throw in MVP, V or Khali just to get a 6th, but come-on! Smackdown's Chamber had the potential to steal the show, if not be the best match in months.

*sigh*

Smackdown's Elimination Chamber was a great surprise too bad most of the wrestlers involved are stumps. Really though Big Daddy V and Khali, ugh why even put MVP and Finlay in? They should've just added Mark Henry in there and the match would be perilous, well for the health of the men involved anyways since these men seems to injure everyone they get in the ring with.

So Teddy Long is in charge for the night once again. This flip flopping G.M.'s has to stopped, pick one over the other and move on.

I refuse to watch anymore Chuck Pulombo/Michelle McCool segment's in the near future because well so far all of it sucked.

The brother's of destruction reuniting was awesome too bad it was against Big Daddy V and Mark Henry.

Please tell me this is some kind of joke. Having 2 elimination chambers is overkill enough, but having Big Daddy V and Khali in there. Has somebody at WWE lost their freakin minds, what in God's name has Viscera done in these last 5 years to even deserve a title shot or main event status, (note to WWE, stop pushing this piece of s%#t, he's not over, he doesn't deserve the position he's in)? And Khali doesn't deserve the position he's in either, and he's just gonna end up stinking up the joint along with Viscera.

What a freakin joke the WWE is sometimes.

Wow, two Elimination Chamber matches?! That's just crazy. Happy to see Teddy in charge even though he only got to make a couple of decisions. It certainly was enough.

Well I guess if MVP cripples Flair that would end his career as well.

Chuck and Michelle was a train wreck, these two should not talk to each other. Chuck was bad and then Michelle was worse.

Mysterio & Punk both got some measure of revenge against Edge & Chavo, but as of right now, those two still hold the titles.

Deuce & Domino lose again, this time a team where one member would typically be seen in a mixed tag match. I think they would say "Oooohhhhh!"

Eve needs to be careful being that close to Batista, he might try to start dating her or something. And with charisma like that, how could any woman resist?

Ya know, if Festus has just been missing and Jesse with him, I don't think anyone would have noticed.

I never figured them out as the Majors, but I'm able to tell Ryder and Hawkins apart so I'm happy about that. Beating Moore & Yang it seems they are going to give the "Edgeheads" a run on their own rather than just following Edge around.

The main event was impressive for the amount of height and weight in the ring if nothing else. It's usually neat to see Undertaker & Kane team-up.

Anyone want to count the days until we see Finlay and Hornswaggle as WWE Tag Team Champions?I've been trying not to say it out loud.
