Most of you probably already know about this from elsewhere, but just in case, know that Microsoft's apology for the recent Xbox Live outages is a free download of Undertow for subscribers. (http://kotaku.com/348061/dont-forget-to-download-undertow) If you do the math, the value of the game is much greater than the value of of the lost Live time, so I suppose it's a good deal, although I would've preferred to be able to pick the free game myself (when does Rez HD come out again?).
By the way, there are also reports that those who have already paid for Undertow can get their 800 MS Points refunded instead (http://kotaku.com/347612/how-to-get-800-free-msoft-points) with a phone call to MS's support line and a little cajoling.
So if you've got a 360 and have been having problems with Live over the last month-- or even if you haven't and just like getting free stuff on account of other people's problems-- then get downloading!
